I love these posts!! I have two "nice" bikes a five and a mojo one is built up heaver than the next the mojo was a dream bike and with the offer on a stif I went for it. I have a good spec on both nicer on the mojo xtr etc but thats what I wanted and saved for I could give a monkeys what people think.

Its my hobbie and once all the bills are pay and kids etc have what the need then my money I spend on bike stuff, I ahvemate who spend 50-60 quid in the pub twice a week and think bike is a waste of money!!

I keep both of them clean and in good nick they last longer and work better when you do this! I see a lot of too cool to clean people esp at centres but thats their money not mine. I get them both filthy crash on them etc they are mountain bikes they get knocked dirty crashed on etc doesnt bother me. I hate scratching them in the garage or if they get knocked over but on the trail that happens and is another battle scar with a story!!

Didnt Jo burt do an interview in ST and talk about about this??

Hello mate, You know what I think your dealing with this like a F***ing legend. Like you said you will be one of the ones who beats this. You were always going to feel poorly after such a big op but your still standing and you're Home!!! That says a shed load about you and how well your doing. Its ok to have a bad day too but remember one day this will all be done and dusted and your biggest worry will be what you have at the next pub stop!
Hang in there your a day closer to getting better every morning, and when you do your UK tour of riding spots like I said, I'll sort both you and Meg with beer!

To turn it round I dont get why you wouldnt ride a bike! That amazing buzz and high you get from it and it last for a few day after a really good spin? Even find my self jealous of commuters when I'm driving home!!

I have been told I need my bumps felt for hhow much I spend on bikes etc but that's my thinh all bills are paid Kids have every thing they need then my money I'd rather spend on a bike or bits that pissing it down the pub and ignoring the kids all day sunday like some do!

I have a five and its brill mate really good, costly in comparsion to a pitch, but its a different kettle of fish. but I rode the five and just loved it so held out to get a bit more cash to get the pro with some addded bits. been brill so far and its been through some rough stuff!! fast up and down and excellent fr the uk stuff!

The pitch its cheaper and like all spesh bikes it will be really good I know this will keep being said but you need to test em both, one of them will be "right" and you'll then know what to go for! FIVE IS BLOODY AMAZING THOUGH!!!

I have a section on a trail we ride that really get's me. Had three stacks on it first one with me ending up about ten feet from it looking up at the sky one of those ok does every thing still move do I feel ok moments with my mate looking for me after coming around the corner to see only a bike partly on a trail! went back again a few weeks later and washed out and got up went again ( know I can ride this bloody thing) and washed out!! Now I had ridden it for a year or more no issues then in the space of a month or so three stacks the first shook me and I just lost faith in my ability to ride it as I had been and built it up though too much does that make sence?? :?.

It's a about 6 months later, and I have improved as a rider over all riding faster more controlled (good old sskills course!), am fitter etc (I'm no riding god at all!!!) and I'm riding stuff I would never have tried before, agrubly harder stuff. I can/ do ride it again but at about 1/2 the speed I used to but I'm getting back to grips with it.

I'd chill and enjoy other riding/ trails, if you do ride that trail then just get down it as time goes you'll start riding it quicker with out too much thought. it will still be there next ride next month year so dont make a big thing of rushing back it you'll ride it again!! :D

    Any way my 2p's worth!!

hi I've got the r's on my bike and the lever wemt really soft almost to the bar a realy good bleed later and sorted!!

I will say though they (and I've had a squeez of a few peoples now! 8O!) dont ever stop dead like say hpoie m4's or the older xts. tey will always have a bit of flex in the leaver. but I dont reaolly notice when rideing as its past the lock up stage of the lever really good brakes though.

I'll add my LBs did the second bleed for free for me as they fitted them on the bike so might be worth an ask!!
