I’d try a cross bike it’s a right laugh through the winter! Road bikes are good let’s you mix it up bit I really enjoy the speed and difference they bring, it’s worth a look?

I love the daily mash!! Nice one flashheart!! 😆

I though it was alright but it didn’t click for me in the way Sin city did or Three hundred. As for comic book to film conversions go Kick Ass was a good one.

Don’t aero wheels only really kick in at about 25mph anyway?? The cost on par with the level of performance the difference in a 4k road bike and a £600 is huge. I think MTB’s are underspeced for the money really.

I have flows and crests both brilliant both run with tubes. No issues with either set and I have given them both a kicking. Hope hoops are worth a look IMHO. Edit sorry I’m running 26 wheels not 29.

Can’t see him going to Sky, daft if he did. Currently he has a team built to get him to the line. Sky is all about wiggins and the yellow I can’t see them (sky) doing a High road set up from him at the expense of the GC.

No M&S is 4 k on a bike not specifically put on the policy. But they will cover bikes over 4k if you declare them on your policy.

Hi mate I would get a good jacket, and ome sort of buff for your face throat. Riding in the winter like last year this year is very cold!! Get a hump for your pack it’s high vis and water proof. You ll see peopl in yellow jacket with a black pack on!

Bike wise go slicks but if you can at all get a commuting bike you’ll trash your main bike with the extra miles and road salt grit. Plus it will have to sit and fester in the day and night you dint want to be washing it every day.

It’s hard work but the difference to your fitness is huge, just remember to mix the pace and route as much as you can to seethe benefits.

Easier to climb with but less at the top end? Suits a faster spinning rider, I think just gone non compact on my new road bike the increase in speed is huge, even with a 12 27 cassette at the back to get my fat ar$e up longer hills. I like it so far but need to watch the knees until I get acclimatised to it so the compact is staying on for the commuting bike!

Note: all of the above may just be rubbish!! 😉

Yep have two soft shell and a water proof all less than £30 all ideal for riding as I don’t mind them getting trashed. I’ll buy more when they die. I get them from go outdoors so with the discount I’d be daft not to!!!

Tommy V has really done himself and the jersey proud I agree I’d love to see him hold on. The Schlecks just never seem to attack with any real commitment Frank less so than Andy. I’d still love to see Contador win it but even he seems flat. I think Evans wants it more than anyone. Gilbert has been great value this tour what a season he’s had.

If you aren’t riding a fixed gear, track, or a geared road bike you will likely have a hard time keeping up. All are invited but not all will make it to the end. Unfortunately, sometimes riders DO get left behind and that’s the madness that is Wolfpack. If you ride hard and complete enough rides you might even get a spoke card (that is unless we lagged again on making more.)

Assume what of a closet Roadie myself 😳 this lot seem like proper nobbers………I hope it’s cycling take on the film wild hogs………..Dropping people on a group ride when all are welcome is a shitty thing to do.

Well I’ve gone roadie I’ll be honest I’m 30 min drive from any kind of trail even cheeky ones and I have two kids so a road bike let’s me go for a spin in an hour rather than an MTB that takes two! With the kids etc I push the time about as much as I can 5am start or leave when they go to bed. I agree with Jedi any bikes a good bike. Enjoyed the article he’s done well to get so many peoples heckles up!!

Over time I’ve started to read the MTB mags less and less I am happy with my bikes I just want to ride as much as I can on any surface!! Plus CX bikes are a right laugh!! 🙂
