That video is funny but absolutely gut wrenching at the same time, had i been on that ship i think i would have been praying to the god i never believed in.
As an aside my uncle was a deep see merchant navy captain, he had a term for yachtsmen. WAFID’s.

    Idiots…..

I got caught up in the A$re end of a big swell going across Biscay in a 40 footer on delivery 45+ knots plus huge swell we ended up going out to deeper water to get away from the swell off my head I think the shelf goes from 3000m to 300m almost instantly!

F11 is the biggest Ive been in in the Atlantic…..wasn’t that bad, I was so busy and tired you didn’t have time to worry!!

The things you do in your early 20s! 😆

    Hello,

Right firstly MTFU, yes it’s unplanned yes it’s F###ing epically scary, life changing but you’ve done it now. You love your wife, you’re happy (I assume?) so you’ll be a dad.

Worrying about bonding is fine, I was never one of these we’re pregnant Dad’s that’s not me, but once it arrives you’ll start to bond, relax it will take a bit of time but love it and start to build a relationship.

You’re wife needs support she’s feeling shocked too, and vulnerable, again it’s you’re job to step up mate.

I won’t Bull##it you it’s tough, money and energy sapping, the small person will demand a huge amount of time, she’ll( your wife) be wrecked you’ll be wrecked that’s life.

On the plus side it’s great, the mini you will be a right laugh as they get bigger, time flies and actually pull get to ride your bike etc etc.honestly I can relate, hence the rough points above (I got this chat you see) I wouldn’t trade either of my two or the world nd riding my bike with a four year old mini me and getting ice cream is as good as the best trails, road races I’ve ever done I know this doesn’t make sence right now!

You’ll be great mate, chill. 😀

No I wouldn’t. For purely selfish reasons, although they drive me nuts I wouldn’t be without them on a daily basis! They will be little for such a short time (mine are 3&5) and its my job to bring them up and give them the best opportunities possible here with us.

It’s the ease of riding too, I like being able to ride from the door rather than drive first.

Mate, I think you need to realise that your impression of her is based on things and memories from a long time ago, a form of escapism.

That time opportunity has passed, you’ve met another person, had a family lived a real life. ( these are filled with the grind of existence and the shine can fade) unlike your dream/ escapism. What I’m getting at is it won’t be bliss, you need to recognise this, really recognise this.

As if you do cross the Rubicon the your not going back to your current life your burning your bridges. I understand it must be terrible but it’s just a feeling you can control it and make it go away if you want.

Looks great!!! I think it’s between England and Wales for the Title, we ( Ireland ) need to rebuild, Lancasyer is a great manager and Wales are a thread away from brilliance!

Lowest P11D & emissions coupled with the highest spec you can get.

Posterior Tendon gone on both sides…..now sporting what’s known as my special shoes! Just inserts but hey they wouldn’t be mates if I didn’t get a ribbing. Lost most of last year riding but I can now drive ( it was braking and the gear changes) that were the issue and walk!!! 🙂
