    Clearly…..

29er for owning in the wide open space, say the garden…

650b more technical owning, still with the added leaverage but the manoeuvrability of a short fork, say owning in the garage

26er sturdy close combat owning weapon say in the kitchen

Clearly for niche owning you’ll need a Jones truss fork……..

I wear Vans mate, shop about and buy what’s cheap. I’ve never seen a pair in “our” size. I did look at buying a pair and having the 5:10 rubber on them though…let me know if you find some!! 😀

It won’t be a problem IMHO mate, you just need to remember the head angle and bike will be a bit less forgiving than a slacker longer travel bike and you don’t have the added security of a bit more weight and travel when things get “interesting”!!! 😀

Yeah it’s about 1-2 lbs heavier for the 20″ wheeled one according to the web? So the Isla is about £50 more….

I go for two tubes in jersey pockets and a Thompson stem bag with C02 three cylinders, a tyre lever multi tool in it. And a mobile sorted!

Full fingers are ok for me on the road bike, but the pain isn’t good I’d look at your set up you don’t support yourself on the bars as mentioned above…oh and we all say “it won’t take over from my MTB” when we start……. 8)

The Doctor is right, saddle is too low mate you look cramped on the bike, so stem is too short, maybe bike is just too small.
I can’t recommend getting a fit enough especially if your taking up road riding and racing. Don’t go by the pros its not a starting point.

Re-enactment is different to field it’s like comparing shooting clays to the sealed knot!

If you look at the archery uk site it has a club finder which I think will show you the local field clubs.

The targets will differ some shoot life like foam targets, the FITA (governing body of archery) round is a paper face. I must stress hunting with a bow or cross bow is illegal in the UK.

No mate you’ll need to learn the technique, you’ll find the club will either take part in or know a place to shoot field. Target is the place to begin, I’ve shot at 90meters with long bows on the same boss, the end result it usually different for us though a sight and carbon arrows help me a bit!! 😆

    !!!!BUY NOTHING!!!!!!!

The club will set up up. You’ll want to start off with light kit to develop form before increasing the poundage (the weight you pull back) so don’t buy until you’ve been shooting even then the club will have kit or a stash of 2nd hand gear you can use.
Archery interchange is a nice forum.

It’s a great sport with some lovely people involved. Enjoy!
