Rampage is a real exhibition of bravery and high consequence riding. I’d never ever consider any of it!! But for me it’s no where near as entertaining to watch as something like Hard line. I found that brilliant to watch, and really enjoyed the variety of the riding the course required.

Maybe it’s because I “grew up” watching Josh Bender etc doing these huge drops etc, that I’ve seen the kind of riding that Rampage involves and the freshness has gone?

But I don’t for a second take away from they riders who do it, I’m speaking as a spectator only.

Really hope that the terrible injury to Paul Bass. isn’t as severe as we all worry it may in fact be.

Hopefully will have a Demo bike from my LBS in a week or so……Can’t wait!! Really like the Bike had a Sit on one the Shop but it’s the first ride on a 29er for me, so just want to check it feels right?

Plus not sure if I need an L or XL. My 26″ five was XL plus my Epic was too…. Always felt right in those sizes. Demos a Large so I’ll get a good idea soon if it’s too short.

None of the above is true, boxing is in fact one of the easiest sports to master, and actually not physically demanding to partake in. Foot work and punch combinations are quickly learned and due to the gloves the impact is really like bumping into a person by accident. So you’ll be fine.

Note: none of the above is in anyway true, but so far all you’ve got is good advice and the fact that, yeah it’s incredibly tough, hurts and blimey you need more time…. So I thought I’d make you feel a bit better! After all it’s not like you’re getting into a contained area with some bloke who’s sole aim is to hit you so hard in the head you faint……. 😆 😯

In honesty train hard it’s really hard work and learn to cover up!! Good luck mate!!!

This in on my wish list, given it a lot of thought between this and a scout, but think this is a better fit to me.

Helpful, fair point, I’m happy to admit I’ll get off and walk around anything over 3foot mate!!

Noah, I’ve tidied up my post the 160mm was more an admission I don’t need or want a big bike!

I’m 6’2 and a bit mate. I like riding normal woodsy type trails, never gonna consider a big drop! Gotta work on Monday!!

Scandal, agreed. But I’m not looking for the next best, I just want to be able to go to my LBS and pick bits up! 26″ stuff is dropping off a bit.

I like the look of the Trsnsition scout, seems like a good fit for me, as I’m. Happy to admit I just don’t need 160mm travel bike!!

Dunno, I’d need to try them TBH.

But realistically when I’m sweating about buying a bike ( currently MTBless) prob not!

    On my road bike however!!

It’s tough to quantify isn’t it!!

Yep 8k super bikes seem a bit daft, but if you can afford it, why not! By the same extent, if it’s a £500 job hey ho it’s all the same thing dicking about on bikes to make you feel good!! TBH who gives a monkeys!

I was very lucky and had a S works bike, loved it, would I every buy one again no, will those circumstances ever arrive again no!! Was it making me a better rider than the Bike I had before which I sold to fu d part of the SWorks nope, did it out a smile on my face yes totally!

No as a old man with Kids etc! I look at top end kit ENVE wheel etc and think nice!! But in my head I’m thinking…SLX is the way to go!! Which makes me smile as I can remember looking at elastomer forks and STXRC like it was gold!! So I guess I’m doing a full circle!! Except the elastomers….. 😆

Saying that the Transition Scout Two is lush……… 😕
