Some thru axels ( like the one on Transition bikes) don’t have a Handle you need to use a Allen key.

My favourite statement regarding depression is that is it is the cost of MTFUing too many times.

    POSTED 1 DAY AGO # REPORT-POST

    This.

Its a terrible terrible illness, because you “look” ok, to the outside world, no physical signs.

I hate it, the emptiness, shame, exhaustion, the panic of simple things, shopping, getting the kids ready for school, putting on a show that you’re ok, when you’re screaming in your head,

I remember being told once that I needed to get out, get exercise…..I can still see the look on their face when I explained that’s hard to do when you’ve used everything you’ve got to get up, appear ok when you drop kids into school it was like it clicked with them that he’s not just feeling down.

Having a tough time at the moment, I so desperately need a rest from it, I know it will come but it seems so far away when you’re in it.

I love the article in issue 78 by Tom…it’s a great piece of honest writing.

    Ibis mojo….

Saved and sold like mad! One came up on offer at a shop so I bought it, delighted as it was an early way to get my dream bike…. Lavished parts on it, and well……it was a bit flat really! Just never clicked with it at all. No idea why.

    You’re slipping lads.

10 posts in and no one has told the story about the time they overtook everyone in Morzine on a rigid singlespeed as that’s all you need for the alps…

    POSTED 2 MINUTES AGO # REPORT-POST

Well now you mention it Bob, I rode a BMX there and passed all the 160mm bikes…. 😉

I’d be very careful, I was mildly allergic to the Guinea Pigs we had, but as time when on I basically had a constantly running nose, wheezed when I was near them and came up in a rash if I handled them even for cleaning them out. This is with antihistamines. We tried everything to keep them ( Mrs and kids loved them) different bed dings etc etc, but it was the ‘pigs. In the end we re homed them. Within a few days I was fine.

I’d be tempted to see if you can borrow a dog for a bit and see?

We have a Labradoodle, ( Lab Mum, Poodle Dad) and it sheds worse than any dog I’ve met! So be careful with the hypoallergenic dogs, it can be the saliva that sets some people off, not the hair so much.

Good luck, I love having a dog, it’s a lovely thing to have in your home!!

Seen you Enve’s up for sale, very tempted for my smuggler!! But using my face as a break recently has resulted in some spend on a new lid etc etc!! 😆

Have you noticed any difference with Flows rather than the Enve’s?

Stans tape was a right pan getting it to stick to the rim I found.

The rim needs to be clean, dry and ideally keyed- I clean, rub down with a scotch pad, then wipe with isopropyl. Doesn’t take long, apart from drying time.

Tried that mate, just found it wasn’t very sticky compared to gorilla or Duck tape. Got there in the end though! 😉

But best tip I got. Was was to get the tape on the pop a tube back n and the tyre and inflate to a high psi leave over night, I found the tyres and tape were spot on when I first tried tubeless. (Maxxis Hi rollers)

WCA is Lordswood like the Somme at the moment, or is it rideable?

Your novel concept of ‘steeper per mm of travel’ is nonsense, like measuring digestion by turd length.

I just snorted my coffee out of my nose! 😆

It looks lush, and I like the mismatched travel, ( I’ve got a smuggler which even with a lot less travel seems never to find its limits) but 160mm travel is a lot and I wonder if I’d need it?

At £7k I’ll pop it on paper for consideration post lottery win! 🙂

Keep taking them out to wee and make a big fuss when they go as I’m sure you are already!! , and you need to watch like a hawk, there’s will be signs honest, a bit of sniffing or disappearing out of the room for example!! It’s hard going but worth it! Our fella got it, but we kept asking him to go out, or taking him out then it just clicked with him.

Nope, not fussy at all, that’s not fair. If it had been sold with “cosmetic damage to seat post” then ok. But it wasn’t so not on at all.

I get the same impression the podge, it seems to be designed to be ridden really fast and hard, and I wonder if for the average ( or sub average in my case!) MTBer it wouldn’t be ridden at the level were its advantages would come to the forefront.
