QECP does make you work for the height though!! It’s lots of short sharp climbs rather than a lakes two hour slog! Also depends of where you’re coming from, I’d not fancy trying to get to Brighton on a BH weekend.

    *Proper rugby.
Yer right. Come back when you find the correct number of players, can scrummage properly, and have learned how to win the ball from the opposing team, rather than getting it by default after six hugs.

That Trek is stunning, but too short for me in the reach.
445/459mm* in Large, is there much longer apart from the geometron?

*Seems odd that it only changes by 0.5deg between settings, but the reach goes up 15mm

I’d love to ride one of these in the 29er set up…..just to see if I could push it enough to make it come alive!

Our chap was really bitey little nips and chews, but he’s a gun dog breed, retrievers are mouthy by nature. We would let out a little Yelp when he nippy too hard, and he learned not to.

He two now and is perfect in how he plays with me the kids anyone. It’s a puppy thing, don’t worry but don’t try to break them of the habit the little Yelp works. He can pick the post up with out leaving so much as a tooth Mark! 😆

TBH, I found inserts a pain, in the wet of heat it’s easy to get water or sweat! inbetween the lenses ( these were adidas glasses)

I just got a pair or £100 sports prescription glasses from Specsavers not as fash as Oakleys but a third of the price, so loss of damage isn’t an issue. Otherwise I go contacts and normal oakleys on top. But I wouldn’t go inserts again.

Lots of interesting stuff here, TBH I’m thinking what makes people ( non. MTBers) think wow….!!! For example the day after the Winter Olympics Boarder cross or ski cross it was talked about in the office…..less so super G or cross country skiing.

I was looking at it from a spectacle PoV. I agree that I didn’t think of how XC Is much bigger in Europe etc but again I think for the non biker DH enduro type stages are better viewing?

I recognise the the techie sections on XCO are tough, but I’d fancy one of those more the the techie sections of a world class DH course….( clearly both would result in using my face as a brake!!) I’m not in any way saying it’s easy I’m asking what’s better telly?

Schurter would destroy Gwin on a XCO technical descent if they were both on XC bikes.

I really doubt it, love to see it but I’d put the house on Gwin!

No, the road race was good I thought, I’m thinking of the event from a non MTBer POV. Not a troll I’m trying to think of a more entertaining view for joe public, is all. I’d rather watch a EWS or World Cup DH than the XC.

Chainline, if I wasn’t deeply in love with my Transition Smuggler ( because of the long reach, but handles brilliantly mix they’ve come up with ) and had a few quid I’d be on the phone now!! I’m thinking I’ve got few years to save up for my 40th though!! 8)

Loads Goldigger, you’ll pick up loads and loads. It’s a great experience and totally tailored to you as a rider. Give him a ring and talk it through. Best MTB money I’ve ever spent my time with Tony.

Most books are bullshit. Talk to family if you can. You’ll be fine, might take a while I was expecting a bolt of lightening or something when kid was born, it never happend. Then a few months down the line you suddenly realise you’d jump underca bus gladly for this thing. Its great dontvworry, enjoy it.

Chainline, it’s a beaut of a bike, and the 29er sounds lush, but the £4.5k is not set up is it? Ideally Mojo want you to do the whole day set up package thing! So £6K+!

    Still want one though!! 🙂
