I skipped the 24″ with my lad to a 26″ frog. Like TomB said above it’s made a huge difference to how far fast and the type of stuff he rides he loves it.

    Wow!
Exactly what sort of RAD lines do you guys ride to need a reach 4″ longer than the bike that just won Rampage under it’s 6ft1″ pilot?

Can you post pics, vids, Strava etc for us to see?

    100% serious question BTW.

I rode this today mate…..on a 29er, really made the trails feel alive, but with I was on a boost equipped 27.5+ mainly for vertical compliance…..

No idea mate, depends on the size as to how quick it would go too, and what you can bare to accept for it! I’ve got no idea if the geo has changed between your and the current model either?

Good luck! My advice would be take it out and rag it about, you’ll soon work out if it’s worth keeping or not!! 😆

Chainline, is there a even longest er in the pipe line or did I imagine that? Saying that a 520 reach is long!

Less than half what you paid for it minus 10% per year old. Seems to be a good rule of thumb, Chain reaction aren’t helping you by pushing them through the clearance for end of year sales.

    Crank Boy great read thanks.

I agree with his final point

    10. What does this whole affair say about our society?
    Christ knows. Nothing good.

My two pence worth is the Bloke is a tool, kicks a ball around is paid lots so has no moral stop light. Having had the joy of walking in on my mate getting it on with a girl my first thought was “eh guess I’ll go back out” rather than “ah sure I’ll join in..” ( you should never stir another mans porrage). He’s clearly not alone in thinking this behaviour is ok.

I can’t believe his fiancée stayed with him regardless of the criminal charges he was actively out sha*ging other women. Mrs Wookster wouldn’t be seen for dust or I think would most women, and actually why would you want a doormat for a partner.

But marring a footballer / rich person and allowing them to behave how they like as they are a meal ticket is a bit of a cottage industry and so suppose has been for ever.

The most I see of celebrity, and modern society, sexting, social media expectations based on some persons televised life the happier I am far away on the bike the out with the Dog, and delighted that I’m married to a person who’s switched on and has enough about them not to be treated like shite regardless that they are in love or married. .

Makes me really sad looking through those. From what little has been released in the press by his family it sounds that he was Really suffer with dementia. I understand he battled with depression etc, and that does increase the risk of developing that awful illness that robs you of who you are, among other things he was suffering with this,

    Lewy body dementia
Dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB) is a type of dementia that gradually worsens over time.[1][2] Additional symptoms may include fluctuations in alertness, seeing things that other people do not, slowness of movement, trouble walking, and rigidity.[1] Excessive movement during sleep and mood changes such as depression are also common. (From Wiki )

It’s tragic but if I’m honest having seen this illness ( albeit a different type) I’m not sure that I’d make a different decision in his position, all the beautiful bikes in the world won’t help you when you start to forget everything you are,

    IHN,

I do and can see your point, however he “asks” to come up and as for sitting on top of people, he did it as a pup ( who doesn’t love a sleeping pup cuddle) and well its continued. He knows his place in the family, and as much as I love him and trust him he’s never alone with the kids, for his protection as much as theirs.

I’d not go with a collie, lovely dog but bred to work all the time, and I mean all the time!! So not an ideal pet for every one. The most content ones I’ve met have lived life herding cows or sheep, or sat in a farm vehicle!

Labs have a reputation as a family dog for a reason, Poodles are great dogs once you see past the Crufts show cut!! We have a Labraoodle a very lovely dog, will play fetch all day long with the kids ( or me 😉 ) loves walks swimming etc, will cuddle all day if possible! But he needs two good walks a day. Great with the kids and so friendly. He’s big though 35kgs and not fat at all. Agree with above hair everywhere…I once found some on the crown of my forks in the middle of Whites Level…. 😆

He sheds like crazy, that’s the lab side, and love to eat a toy to destruction!

Once we ( Mrs Wookster and me) decided to get a dog, we went and met lots of different breeds and then litters to see which pup was right for us, that includes meeting the mum and dad and the breeders. We didn’t set out for a Doodle, but once we’d met him and the parents we took the plunge.

One thing I’ll say, it’s like another kid, lots of attention needs training and this is really for ever, holidays with a dog are a laugh! Be prepared never to be alone as they like company eps Labs. I’d agree with above and say 4 hours max if they are left alone, and that would be after a walk! We let ours on the sofa, it’s our sofa, and it’s not a problem! He knows his place but is very much part of the family, won’t beg at the table, doesn’t steal food, toys, socks ( anymore!) kids love him, but they like all kids won’t be interested in feeding, walking them for too long!!

Oh and get pet insurance!! It’s a big step but well worth it, even in the rain and pitch black and rain in winter! I’d not e with out him I think he makes the house a home!
