im still not certain the Republic could afford to take the North on. Further to that the complications of the benifit, and health system changes would be a hard pill for the population of the north to swallow. There is a connection between the rise of sectarianism and economic conditions as always, the better the economy the less the violence. Personally, I think the best hope lies with the next generation of the population, who haven’t lived through the peak of the terrorism, and can forge an identity that’s northern Irish rather than British / Irish rather than religious.

I was disappointed with the Martian, it was ok, but I’d such high hopes as I’d really enjoyed the book, I felt the humour, and timescale didn’t translate to the film as well as it should have.

I have Ralph’s on my CX bike, it’s a three mile road route to the trail head (each way) I’ve had no problems at all with premature wear on the tyres, this is twice a week for the wet bit of the year!! So quite a bit…. 😉

Velo park sounds like a good plan, builds the skills, something different to add to the training!

I do think when taking head injury into account the data is skewed when the comparison between the pros riding flat out in events ( racing or rampage/ crankworks) or training by definition going faster bigger will increase the changes of a fall and therefore injury.

Try Hardcore History by Dan Carlin it’s a series of Podcasts they are amazing Blueprint for Armageddon is a good start it’s about WW1 and is fascinating I think there is five parts each about three hours long! But it’s just great. I’ll echo the iplayer comments Radio four comedy is great.

Fiction wise I’m addicted to Audible 😉 the app is really good as it allows you to book mark your position so when you fall asleep it’s easy to find your spot in the book. It’s also got a sleep timer to it will switch off if you want. So thats maybe worth a look.

Huge range of books too, good series to try are Arisen ( Zombie apocalypse job not too much thinking required!) Victor the assassin series by Tom wood is again worth a listen. There’s some great bio’s etc on there too The Nazi hunters is facinating all about SAS action in WW2 France and the hunt for the SS after the war.

Have you considered north Cumbria north east England? Lots of smaller good schools, different pace life compared to London southeast, still has reasonably good train car connections?
