Liverpool – that lovely journey from the M62 to the harbour front

Nottingham – worked there for 8 years. Poor travel links, not on mainline, horrendous links to M1, more average speed cameras than you can shake a stick at. Once drove past what I thought was a drunk sleeping it off, turned out to be a dead body. A truly horrible place and they think Robin Hood was a local lad – everyone know he’s from South Yorkshire

Aldi London Dry Gin – it’s won awards. Also have heard good reports of Ophir (can buy it at Tesco)

A local brew – Sir Robin of Locksley named after Sheffields most famous outlaw is nice. I’m currently drinking One from Selfridges which has a blue tinge – not unlike anti freeze, it is very nice though

I used to work with someone who was a Jehovah’s Witness and who used to join us at the office party which always got a little out of hand – pre party drinks of homemade wine etc. Would making him sing Christmas carols now count as a religious hate crime?

    Another one to try is:

    Volker Rail Ltd.
    Carolina Court, Lakeside
    Doncaster, South Yorkshire, DN4 5RA
    T +44 (0)1302 79 11 00
    F +44 (0)1302 79 12 00

There website does accept speculative applications

Have you tried Trackwork in Doncaster, they used to (still do) run programmes and employ offenders on day release / on licence etc

Tel: 01302 888666. email: info@trackwork.co.uk, Trackwork Ltd, PO Box 139, Sandall Lane, Kirk Sandall Industrial Estate, Doncaster, DN3 1WZ.

I used to deal with a chap called Wayne Chawner – he headed up their training side of things, not sure if he is there now. Has he thought of doing an apprenticeship ?

I’ve had a reply from DCC, only taken 20 days

The source of the stone is according to DCC:

The gritstone used to date to regulate out the steps on Chapelgate has been provided by Marchington Stone.

A quick Google shows that they are based in Disley

    This was on MSE

s5 Clean Neighbourhoods and Environment Act 2005

Exposing vehicles for sale on a road

(1)A person is guilty of an offence if at any time –

(a)he leaves two or more motor vehicles parked within 500 metres of each other on a road or roads where they are exposed or advertised for sale, or
(b)he causes two or more motor vehicles to be so left.

    (2) A person is not to be convicted of an offence under subsection (1) if he proves to the satisfaction of the court that he was not acting for the purposes of a business of selling motor vehicles.
(3)A person guilty of an offence under subsection (1) is liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding level 4 on the standard scale.

    I believe that a level 4 fine is £2500.

Therefore if you’re going to start “buying and selling of cars from home” you’re going to need a home that features sufficient land to park the cars that you’re offering for sale, and if you want to transform your front garden into a car showroom you’re going to need planning permission.

I always thought that there was some legislation

If it was discussed bat a LAF why were the PDNPA unaware? I would be interested where the gritstone / sandstone is being sourced from as you compare the relative strengths characteristics on a BGS website

I think you can ask for emails, I would also ask for minutes of all meetings / site meetings / schemes of work, impact assessments on the environment / competence of workforce

This is the DCC complaints policy – you would need to adhere to this before going to the Local Government Ombusman
