We did very well out of Barclays once on the PPI and then more recently they had cocked up on some phrase that they should have included on statements – so they ended repaying all of the interest that they had charged us

Just waiting for CPP to come good now

I used to work for a construction training company we used to deliver CPCS courses and NVQ programmes, 99% of the time the employer supported their workers, are you aware that the CPCS card has a fixed life of a few years then to renew it you would need to do a NVQ ? Have you considered getting an NPORS card? I assume that you would registering with an agency to get work

The reason that all the documents / policies are requested is that as the learner is on a government funded programme the College is responsible for there safety, health and welfare. I have admit it does seem a tad excessive at very short notice although it is a standard request that a College or other training provider would make

I used to work for a training provider that delivered NVQ programmes in the construction industry, we had to explain to 6 foot 6 hard as nails construction workers that we were responsible for their safeguarding and if they felt that they were being bullied etc they should report it to us.

Picking up on Mattbee’s verse; I know someone that sells knives (both kitchen and “hunting” knives) who uses the following ditty when selling on various markets:-

“By a knife for the wife, get another for her mother”

I don’t vote labour, but for the best parliamentarian is Dennis Skinner who has stuck to his socialist beliefs. He was on the radio a number of years ago where he said if someone came to him with a problem he would try and help them, irrespective of their political persuasion

See my earlier post, still get the odd twinge. I may have overdone the walking / cycling over the Xmas / New Year break as knee looks a little swollen

The attached link to the Eastern Moors partnership is quite interesting as it gives an indication of what remedial work is being undertaken or proposed to a number of Bridleways

Not exactly relevant to this thread but it is interesting

I agree with Hubert, I live in a “chocolate box” village in the PDNP and the litter that some ramblers (and some DoE groups) leave behind is amazing.

I got Sudoku Toilet Paper – to good to flush, so it’s in the recycling bin. Mrs W got a bottle stopper from Ann Summers – now in the wheelie bin. I know it’s the thought that counts but I wish people wouldn’t waste their money

I’ve had a reprieve – Mrs W full of cold, didn’t want to pass it on so had to go to in-laws to collect Xmas meal and return to Mrs W. It was looking tense when I left in-laws so probably for the best
