Not bothered about that but I wish someone would shove Vettels ‘No1’ finger right up his nostril. Irritating git 😈

    Depends what you need done.

I took my current plan out 2.5 years ago I’ll have claimed about £1300 by the time I get a new crown fitted, so can’t complain.

I’m not disciplined enough to put the equivalent in a savings account. Too many shiny things to tempt me !

I’m going to have to look at dental plans as I’m not very impressed with the one I’m on at the moment. Supposedly discounted rate through the union (Unison), premiums have jumped from £18 to £27 a month in the space of 2 years for no reason other than they had so many complaints because white fillings were not covered except in front teeth. Typical union balls-up.

    New thread methinks!

I personally wouldn’t bother with the IWC as it just uses a valjoux 7750 movement

True, but that is like saying the engine in a Mercedes AMG is the same as a standard Merc. Both have had extensive re-working.

    Something simple and classy.

Have to agree with the above re IWC as they make beautifully engineered watches which aren’t going to ‘date’ and don’t carry any of the stigma that some other brands have. IWC Collection

You might struggle to get the one you want on your budget though 😥

Not too fussed about shooting someone -it’s the idea that they might shoot back that bothers me.

Way too old to be called up now but would go on the medic side if asked nicely.

Where do you stand on the poor sheep being violently kill by a wolf?

It’s probably better off being killed by a wolf than if it had stood on kaesaes’ grasshopper.

Yes it’s a pay site but I haven’t paid anything yet so I don’t get to see what they look like. Do you think it was wrong for me to let slip that I’m a millionaire and like to spoil my women?

It would be a referral to a surgeon if I decide to go ahead but I’m struggling to justify the cost. I’ll have to check the insurance to see if implants are covered but I know the max annual claim is £700 per annum and I’ve used £500 already this year.

Cheers for the info and feedback.

But bottom teeth have to move against the top teeth to chew.

I’m thinking more along the lines of maintaining jaw line/integrity.

I think you are missing the point.

If you think about it logically, surely the chances of you meeting a like-minded person are far greater than if you happen to bump into someone in a pub/club/work situation.

I haven’t joined one properly yet but from posting up a basic profile I had loads of info/meet requests from attractive women, on paper at least……mind you, I haven’t posted a pic of myself yet so I expect the interest rate to drop dramatically if I ever get round to it 😉

Vanilla83 – problem you’ve got is that IME all property people say they will provide the same as you and my experiences to date have been consistently bad and costly.

To give just one example, the last house I sold in London had 2 ‘buyers’ Buyer 1 offered £3k less than buyer 2 but the EA recommended I go with number 1 as number 2 had messed people about in the past. Buyer 2, a very nice woman was gutted apparently. Buyer 1 wasn’t ready to move for a couple of months but no worries as ‘family funds’ were on their way and he was a first time buyer. 1 week before completion, buyer 1 announced he couldn’t quite get the additional mortgage funds he needed (I had already moved by this time) so I dropped another £5k.

When it was all complete, the EA casually mentioned that they had confused buyer 2 with someone else but not to worry as they had found her a similar flat (which she had already bought) for not much more than mine !!. He couldn’t understand why I was just a tad annoyed 👿

Whereabouts do you operate as I’ll be looking to buy next year…..possibly ?

Hmmmmmm…. I can relate to neilsonwheels. Clothes cutting and curry throwing does seem popular. Some of the less violent/destructive amongst the totally loony episodes included:-

Uniform and a few other bits of clothing thrown over/up tree as high as possible just before I was due to go to work….
Phoning my folks 24 times between 1AM and 3AM to say I had gambled away £85K and had driven off drunk (I don’t gamble and was stone cold sober)
Car wrapped/covered in toilet roll inside and out so I wouldn’t ‘soil it’ with the other (non-existant) woman……

Not funny at the time 😯

From my experience I would definitely get lessons ‘over there’. I had 5 or 6 lessons in the UK on a dry slope and can honestly say it was a waste of time. 1/2 an hour on a blue run with an instructor will gave you the same level of progress and it won’t hurt quite as much.

As far as location, if you are prepared to risk it, wait for a last minute deal and check the snow conditions. The only other consideration as a learner would be to avoid resorts with lots of drag lifts. Austria would be a good choice as many of the smaller resorts are great and ‘serious’ boarders/skiers avoid them due to the limitations of a smaller area but as a beginner they will provide enough fun for a couple of weeks and you can always have days out to check out neighbouring mountains.

Ok. As I have a foot (or should that be feet) in both camps I’ll end with a link to my favourite video clip which wins by a very small margin to the “Tribute to Tommy Brunner’ clip by virtue of its ‘holy shit’ factor.

    Indisputably seriously kool

Most skiiers though will at least admit that a snowboard is a far superior vehicle for sliding down a powder covered hill.

You had a bit of a typo there…

Snowboarding has saved skiing from dying on its ass.

Yup. I remember cueing for 1/2 hour + freezing my tits off in Val d’Isere/Tignes/Glenshee in the 80’s thinking “thank god skiings on its arse otherwise I might not make it up the hill before lunchtime” !

I do find it interesting that so many British skiers/snowboarders are full of opinion, despite only spending about 30 days on snow in their lives.

Interesting assumption there Sponger…..utter bollox of course………

I had considerably more than 30 days on snow before I was 15 and there was none of this them and us rhubarb – the fact that snowboarding hadn’t been invented is beside the point 😉

Scotland does get the white stuff now and again, and you can even do it 1/2 hour from my house in England – Sum boarders r just 2 cool 4 skool

Solicitor definitely. Especially if the lady in question hasn’t made a will yet.

The sisters obviously haven’t a clue re costs of ‘putting someone in a home’ and if your MIL is offering to become her carer at < £1000 a month, it’s an absolute bargain.

All sorts of regulations would come into play if she sold the house and went into care and they may not necessarilly get the money which they appear to think they will.

Not a bad troll for your age 😉

Strange how some who have found a ‘camp’ they fit into see fit to criticise those who have chosen another eg. mtb/road, walker/mtb, skier/boarder.

Is it borne from a lack of personal identity or basic insecurity? I happen to partake in all the above so I’m guessing that makes me soooo insecure that I have to do things which try to fit in with everyone.

Pity I’m not bisexual really……………………………double the fun !

What a load of tosh – using that logic, I think I will go out on my ‘two-wheeled velocipede designed for non-smooth terrain and moderately steep gradients’ later this afternoon.

Mirror finishes are a nightmare if you want your watch to stay pristine.

Probably needs a professional to do it properly depending on how small/deep the scratches are. I haven’t used one but I wouldn’t have thought the Cape cod cloth would be abrasive enough. Worth a try though.

Have a look on tz-uk forum for advice.

    Do what?

Think about it Elfin – but if I need to spell it out, minimum wage is considerably less than some people receive in benefits. 🙄

    Woody
    Free Member

If people have to work, then pay them the minimum wage. Otherwise it makes a mockery of that ’employment right’.

Fine in principal Elfin but for many of the ‘long term unemployed’ that would mean a considerable income cut and plunge them and their families into even greater hardship.

As has been said already, an incentive to work and receive training within a community based project/job would be far more beneficial on many levels.

You should have called the police immediately last night. By waiting until today, if they do trace the /owner/guy who was driving, he’ll be stone cold sober and probably claim you were drunk and drove into him while he was waiting to pull out.

Any reason why you didn’t report it immediately? Surely you must have injured your wrist or neck!!! – every other motorist who has a bump seems to and the police would have been there sharpish!

Very nice indeed and keep the SLX as the difference isn’t worth worrying about but most importantly the SLX looks better on there !
