I would expect this from Charliethebikemonger to pedal as well.

Lovely stuff (not on web site yet) but how much? 8O

So anyone who wants to be presumed to be clean can't afford to be flippant about the issue.

Call me cycnical but surely they all want to be 'presumed to be clean', it's just that some are lucky, some are stupid and some are waaay ahead of the game on that front.

Excellent but it shows what a complete dick he is. Who in their right mind tells EE to 'whhooooaa' when she is getting her kit off ?

New second hand tyre and try and get a years ticket on it. If it passes, great you'll get a few more £££ selling but either way I would get shot of it asap.

No, but can I point out that you have to keep the bike for a year

It could have been worse ie. the finger!

This was a custom build for Nightfire (as he was on here) by Raoul. Don't know if he still has it but I can't imagine it fitting many others !

    6' 1 3/8" – is that more decisive

Ohhhh! you mean about bikes? Whatever makes you think that? The above is only on Inbreds, the full list would take up too much bandwidth

Sizing is the key. I've had 2 x 18" Inbreds, 1 x 20" Inbred, 1 x 16" 456 and now (finally, I think  ) happy with my 18" 456 summer season. I tried all sorts of stem, fork, bar and seat position combinations on the others before arriving at the current set-up, which for whatever reason just feels right.

    I'm 6'1" and a bit

Never mind bullets, am I the only one seriously impressed with the guy on the motorised unicycle ?

Hard to beat that Klein even with full custom jobs. Dekerf used to do some wicked designs too.

They've got the Fury at $640 on the website which is seriously tempting. Are they in financial trouble again ?

RRP US $1225+ now US$570+, while stocks last.

That worries me when it's the manufacturer but if the current prices of used San Andreas are anything to go by you can't go far wrong. I found my Rumble quite short but in answer to the OP, I guess this is not designed for sitting down and pedalling.

But will the mouthy (not really a bigot it was all a misunderstanding) Labour voters bother to go to the post box?

    She'll be fine.

Cracking dog BTW and I really don't know how you were able let her son go after seeing them together. I'm gutted for you just looking at the pic

Interesting stuff. So MTFU is not a recognised teaching tip

TBH it had never occurred to me not to stand up when I started riding offroad and I was over 30 and hadn't been near a bike since I was about 15! Most of the guys I cycled with at the time were in the same boat and none of us were shining examples of fitness but we just got on with it. And damned painful it was at times too!

You are right about bad habits, I must have loads  Pity you're not a bit closer otherwise I would definitely benefit from a few pointers from someone who actually knows what they are doing.

Compression underwear – does it work and if so how does it work?

    Woody

I've taught a couple people to ski and I agree that progression is key and that there is no point in scaring them or taking them down something that is way beyond their skill level but……………

….we are talking about 2 guys who are scared to stand up on the pedals FFS. Surely that is something which should be second nature when hopping off a kerb or even going over a raised manhole cover and if they can't do that before attempting easy offroad routes then there is something amiss.

Are they …ahem…rather delicate creatures ?

    Woody
    Free Member

    I assume they are men?

If so take them down something (doesn't have to be steep) which is very uneven ie. small rocks/bumps. They will stand up pretty damn quick when their 'chuckies' are bouncing off the saddle

As above – you need to swap or buy a new one. Even if you get it to hold by doing up the clamp mega tight, it will still move and probably damage the frame eventually.

    Woody

'But when I stand up it feels a lot less controlled, when I sit on my bum I can grip the saddle and stop the bike moving about. i also feel very high above the bike and out of control'

Have they just learned to ride in adulthood ? These are things which normally come naturally from riding a bike in childhood.

Stop being a 'Nanny' and tell them they seriously need to MTFU and get bikes you are not scared will break.

DMR chaincage back plate with a bashring. I didn't use the full chaincage as it drove me mad rattling at either end of the cassette. So far no problems with this.

Quite right Fred but I would hazard a guess that you never even made the the reserve 11 at school.

It specifically mentions that many of these migrants are going into defined jobs, which would suggest they are professional, qualified people.

Talky knows that, which is why is he is now being silly in a vain attempt to try and distract from the fact he can't produce a reasoned argument.

    Fred

You have been asked several questions to which you have not replied.

You don't really have to repost your rather ridiculous question in bold as you know that a quantifiable answer is not possible, which is probably why you posted it in the first place to try and look clever…… but failed.

Do you work for the Sun ?

    Woody

As for being 'binkered'; yeah, right. 'Course I am. How I can only dream of being as enlightened as someone like yourself…

Enlightened? I asked a question hoping that someone ie. yourself, who is apparently better informed than myself and most of the other 'idiots' on here who dare to question you, would provide an answer.

I can only assume the answer didn't compliment your argument. Why else would you resort to petty sarcasm?

    Woody

Ignore Talky, he's so blinkered that you are wasting your breath.

    However…………………..

That's simply not true. Real figures show that net migration is actually falling.

Lets see the source of these 'facts' Talkemada. No doubt you will prove them true, even though the government has admitted that it has no idea and can only estimate the real figure. More interestingly and relevant to the actual 'cost' of immigration/emigration, can you provide some info on these 'net' figures as to the qualifications (for want of a better word) of those leaving and those coming to 'work' in the UK.

Log cabin/chalet somewhere in the alps (or pick any location with 'proper' seasons/mountains) would be favourite with me. Bikes in the summer and snow in the winter = income for most of the year.

I thought the journo constantly grabbing her shoulder was well out of order. You could almost see him wetting his pants at the thought of getting a big story.

I think Talky actually works for The Sun. As Zulu pointed out, why let the facts get in the way making a point.

"Bigotted old cow" is she ? Nice way to talk about a senior citizen who merely asked a question…… but then you always are a self righteous arrogant shit who regards any opinion with disdain unless it happens to coincide with yours

Depends what the job is and will there be other similar contracts to follow the one paying 3x as much once that one ends?

    Woody

I see your point, the amount of people who 'knew or worked for The Krays' when I was in London always amused me, but neither of those examples above fit into that category as both BigDummy and the guy I spoke to were affected first hand.

Oooh , you can see the wire lift now you've pointed it out. Unlucky but where did it come from, there isn't a fence in sight ?

My general experience of the biking community has been awesome.

There you go, why let one (or two) morons spoil your enjoyment and take heart from all the +ve comments and encouragement.

There are plenty cyclists out there, myself included, who are a million miles from being race whippets, so as long as you enjoy it who cares what other people think.

That's what the guy had been told and he had no reason to lie to me.

So do you actually know if this 'reduced' NI exists and I still don't know if you are referring to the guy talking bollox or his former employer?
