There you go, you've answered your own question, now you have that information, you can decide whether you are going to continue using it. Your call – you've proved nothing.

There's no smoke without fire, why have they gone to so much trouble researching it, and more imortantly WHO paid for the research!? PHD funded by private industry maybe, or did they just feel the need to research aluminium in deodarents – why they'll be researching whether toothpaste caused cancer next, if it were that random!

Didn't they say something similar about smoking for a few decades….

No it's not that simple. Have a good look at those front wings again, there is a huge cut-out when the bumpers are removed. You have the lower part only of the light mount, and a gaping hole above it. The rear wings are different too under the rear light plyinth, on the chrome it is rounded and finished off, your wings will have a huge step, which means a huge gaps when a chrome bumper is introduced. The biggeset problem is the chassis rails at the front, which come into the grille area, these would need to be cut away and reboxed in(welded) to accept a grille. Nothing to do with the arches. Then you have front bumper mounts to fit. It's far from straight forward. I've done a few MGB conversions, there is a kit for them, but nothing for the Midget.

I use nevegal all round on my 5spot, stick-E up front and dtc rear for what it's worth.

It means that more trails are being discovered in other parts of the vast Surrey Hills.

Apparently there is an added risk of breast cancer, using deoderant containing aluminium, in men and women. That isn't news btw.

Spoony – it's a little more involved to convert the rubber bumper cars to chrome, there's a fair few body mods required to house the front lights and take bumpers and grille. The four wings are different to the earlier cars.

Calm down it's only a ……[Michael Winner stylee]

It's so busy at BKB etc etc because all the features in magazines(MBR probably – why not get an MBR beating in too) and websites IMO. Don't think I've seen anyone at 'all the pies' 'two head dog' or 'fat Jim' but then they haven't been featured in mags, or on trailbuilding sites ans they're natural. I only use BKB as access to the shop for refreshments. I think BKB is ruined now anyway, there are so many options/lines that it spoils the flow – sorry trailbuilders, just my opinion – and I don't understand 'de-berming'. Surely if a berm has been created through use, that is the line, people will keep to the line, destroy it and that's why we have multiple lines all over the place, THAT is more erosion?

I've worked on a few of those Midgets – here's my gallery, it may be of some interest.

simnonk – you'll never forget if you keep her as a friend, you're still pining for her IMO. Ask yourself, for whose benifit is the friendship, and is it holding you back in life.

We're all different, but that's how I see it.

I wouldn't agree with medication, without really thinking over if this is right for the individual. Keep a clear head and be positive.

What the op is going through is quite a normal reaction to losing a partner.

Keep busy, even when you really don't feel like doing anything. Socialise, even when you really don't feel like socialising. Ride your bike even when you really don't feel like riding……

Talk to people, don't fear of boring them, it's important to you, and if they're true friends they won't mind, just don't be offended if you can see their minds wandering – they still care.

You're still very young, focus on your course, things will get easier, and you will meet someone else – this in time, will just be a memory.

There are plenty of self help positive thinking books at bookshops, which shows lots of people go through, and get through these times. Buy one, or two even – it can help!

    Best wishes

I could only download a few minutes of that vid, but looks like what I rode on Sunday except Deliverence. It does look a bit keystone cops on bikes at times, but fair play, you are all having fun – hope no one was hurt!?

I've just checked mine – it's a Border. It's a good lenth, and I was thinking of a new coat this year, but as they seem to be coming into fashion, I think I'll put the money to something else!

I had a Belstaff motorcycle jacket when I was sixteen, that did stink – wet or dry! (no idea what happened to that)

I know Lake do a womens version of their THE winter boot – it's on their website. Quite possibly the ultimate!? I've ordered Lake products from All Terrain Cycles before, they should be able to get them from the supplier.

leggy – I'm based in West Sussex now, but still work in Surrey. I've not heard of Cliff Shrub before, I know Sutton though, bought my first racer from Pearsons in the 70's, well a teenage birthday present from the parents, more like!

Does Cliff have a website – I'll google him when I get a moment, just about to go riding.

Like the unusual look of showing the brazed joint on your track bike – just trying to work out how they've managed to paint around it?

    Thanks

    Pete
