Would you say the DW is a more do-it-all kinda bike than the old Horst. which is great on the rough stuff but a bit of a cruiser on anything else?

Have they been on strike? I've been waiting for an important letter which was posted 25th Sep!

Thanks Al, I just need to find a local stockists now, to try one on. Evans only seem to have the camo at the moment, do you know if they have plans to stock the Black Cosmo. ta

Al, I tried on the Cosmo (I think) at Evans Gatwick in 'camo', fit was ace, are they available in more conventional colours?

The Endura stuff is unbranded, and I noticed the summer Gore stuff had these zips in this year – I didn't buy as a result. The two Endura tops I bought with the cheapo zips, both failed!

I was told similar due to being slightly bow legged – I didn't know either until I was told. That was 9 years ago, I'm so glad I didn't go through with that – my knees at 44 don't seem any or much worse that anyone else I ride with.

Really look into it, straightening the lower legs will put all new types of load angles on ankles and hips. And, there is the recovery…..

It may be for you though if things are that bad, I'm no expert, just know that I made the right descision for me at the time.

It might be worth contacting Honda parts dealers, the bumpers surprisingly come painted to the chassis paint code. It seems hard to believe that the bonnet will to, but it is a bolt on panel. What is the colour?

I was told it's more common in younger men, well 30's mainly, as the discs lose their soft middle and harden when you get old-er, and don't prolapse.

I've had back problems on and off since 25, my prolapse proper (although think I've had a mild one for years) was at 43. I feel pretty good now to be honest, aged 44 and a quater! 🙂

I've used a place called 'spit and polish' in Tonbridge Kent. They refurbish and paint or laquer alloy wheels. Did an ace job for me, and they collect and deliver.

That was some years back now, hope they're still around. Have a google, there are a growing number of mobile wheel refurbishers, all the main dealers use them for slight nicks/dinks in wheels.

Forget that Dave, you'll **** yourself right up – send em something if you're worried about letting them down. Or offer to marshal – that's quite rewarding, I did that last weekend for a 10k Cancer Research run at Brighton.

I think that's my dilema – it could just be a bit too girly for me!

Check that YKK zips are used before buying, I noticed on the summer stuff that those crappy zips that Endura use have entered the Gore range.

I was looking at a camo soft shell jacket today, feels real nice on, just undecided if I can carry off the camo look. It did have proper YKK zips BYW!

I feel for you mate! I went through exactly what you are just over a year ago now. It seems like it's never going to end, but you will get better and be riding again before too long. Don't expect too much within six weeks, but hang in there.

The only tip I can give is rest, no amount of stretching is going to help in the acute stage you seem to be in.

I'm sure that's just how they were finished, certainly the onone's I've seen have been finished with the seam left open. Some seam sealer prior to painting would have taken seconds to apply and cost pence, would have prevented that.

I think they are welded not brazed – far too labour intensive for a frame of that price.

Without wanting to sound pedantic, what is the benefit for the consumer, for buying online. The price doesn't seem any different?

I still can't get on with the site, the constant sliding images whilst your trying to read or search something, just do my head in! Sorry.

It is hairline, and a tooth with an old amalgum filling. Hurts when I eat bread even! have a check up in a week Thurs.

Good advice meeeee, I've got some composite fillings that have crumbled on my back teeth, which need relacing, my dentist doesn't like my preference that amalgum lasts longer.

What's your advice on a cracked tooth, it's already filled, and now has a crack from the wall to gum?

It will be the death of the frame eventually, the rust has pitted the metal significantly – if you had it 'blasted' it would more than likely go through. You will proably get years out of it yet though.

fastindain – no no no! Body filler is not designed to go over open seams, it will crack and mositure will get in. 'Seam sealer' is what you need, it remains felxible and is designed for the job. The amount of cars I see where filler has been used over unwelded seams – shocking, they always rust out. Sadly for you, thelegsdontwork, the horse has laready bolted so to speak. http://www.peterflynnclassiccars.com

If you had some boutique type frame, then I guess ther would be some mileage in getting the frame blasted and repainting, sealing the horrible gusset gaps but…………….

They will last a bloody lot longer than the 'white' one's you had, on the plus side.

Any dentist's replying, sorry for the slight hijack, but I have a cracked tooth, what's the prognosis? ta

Ofroading – does the new filling look metalic, or is the 'white' just more grey?

+4 for chainsaw oil, use sparingly though it does gloop up the chain a bit. I only use it on my Rohloff bike. I use 'duck oil' which is a silicone free penertrating oil, used in the motor trade, on a rag and run the chain through that in between, and on my full sus bike. I've been using a free sample of Purple Extreme on the geared bike, it does work well I must say, with no clogging, but I have been using duck oil for years without any probs.

He was totally out of his depth when he interviewed Alistair Campbell, tried to get a bit clever using the work 'venal' – Campbell took him apart in a few words. From then on in the interview, he was like a shy child asking an adult questions, to which he just listened to the answers.

If you can keep it that clean – you'll end up with OCD! 😉
