“It does seem the police can do no wrong according to some people.”

Neither can drunken louts who attack policemen it seems……

As above, what were they supposed to do, attempt to talk him into the hand-cuffs?

If this was Germany/Italy (where i have lived and seen such policing) there would have been batons to the face and worse, and they don’t have to deal with the violent and drunken society we have in this country…..

if you can manual roots etc why do you need to get better?

(I think this is linked to Ton’s question about your age)

outside foot down and if you’re running out of corner, don’t brake, slight nudge of the bars in the opposite direction to the corner will bank you over further and tighten you turn.

forest itself is not chalky like the downs, can be a mud-fest if its been raining

woodsy singletrack similiar to that around Dorking etc couple of donwhill tracks made by local joofs

use the marked trails to get up to the top (ridge above Jevington) and then look for gaps off the fireroads for the best singletrack.

Great pubs in Jevington and Alfriston

I live less than 1 mile from that hostel and beware the wind can be fickle, today easterly but the prevailing direction is westerly as you say. There is another hostel above Shoreham I think which is closer to half way

“animosity between the England and Wales fans”

Having played and supported rugby for 20 years (and working for a welsh company run by rugby nuts) and having spent many long nights in cardiff and Twickenham post match with welsh fans I think you are overdoing that…

“It’s played mostly in private schools in England FACT.

You’ll find more players from posh backgrounds in the England squad FACT.

(NB I have done no research into the above and I may be proved wrong, but I don’t think so )”

exactly, it is not a FACT as you demonstrate (no research), there are far more club players in England than at private schools and very few private shcool payers make it to the top of the sport ;0)

I know this because I played for one and none of the top players of my generation from the big public schools made it to the top of the sport..FACT

    “4Gb/s”, holy cr*p! (I think you mean 4Mbps)

4Mps is probably your synch speed, this in only the speed between your router and the local exchange.

still, grew up in windsor and so it reminded me of where my MTBing all began, cheeky royal singletrack in the park. You must of been chased by some parkies for riding on the long walk tho?

Have to agree with gnar….whatever above, could have been so much better

exactly, that is the point of my post, if other people had similar experiences it would lead me to believe that it is the rim rather than the build….

“The thing is in most professions, even if you personally performed well, if the company was failing, you wouldn’t get a bonus would you? “

Yes you would, targets / bonuses are usually set in contract and are often related to the individuals performance. In this case the company performance is irrelevant.

Of course if you have a target / bonus related to company performance you are right.

Another IN76 user here, use it in a home office / cinema room and so the living room is TV free, just a good sound system (sit about 6ft from the screen).

I can’t recommend it enough, I have friends with 50″ plasmas who rave about it and it cost less than their screen. I use it for TV (great for sport!) everyday usage, XBOX and DVD.

I am not technical and I set it all up myself, I often watch it with the curtains open, admittedly not as bright as when they are closed but can actually be quite relaxing (less intense colours)

When the six nations are on everyone comes round round mine, you can’t beat the screen size and the surround sound from Twickenham on a saturday afternoon!

    Plasma…pah

sorry mate, know of a couple opportunities in the Telco area but need to be fluent in at least 2 european languages.

Only an agency and I know you approached them but CD sales tend to get a lot of the Telco opportunities….
