Penderyn is awful compared to some of the real whisky described above.

Really it is vile, good for unblocking drains.

It is a much neater solution than either a crudcatcher or a neoguard.

I haven’t ridden up there in the last couple of days but at the bottom of the valley in Port Talbot where I work there is very little snow.

I think it’ll be fine to ride as long as you don’t do skyline. There will be snow but it won’t stop you from getting round.

Winter road rides to build endurance helped mtb summer racing a lot.

Hairdressers are often fit but always pretty thick in my experience.

    Isn’t necessarily a bad thing..

Fitness wise you need to have a good levels of endurance for 5-7 hrs riding for 7 days in a row.

It sounds like a lot but once you’re underway it’s fine. Just keep on trucking really. Day 2 seemed a lot harder than Days 3 or 4, by which point you’ve got into the swing of things by hitting the right pace.

Some 3 or 4 day cycle touring trips in advance would be good training. If you want to place well you’ll need to do some shorter faster pace work as well.

Short travel fs bike all the way.

If flights are involved, a penis enlarger and a bottle of water placed in the stag’s hand luggage is quite effective.

“Did you pack this yourself sir?”

Yes often read parts of it and increasingly find people quoting it in meetings and at conferences.

The book has such a nice clarity from high level overview that it makes a very compelling argument for the conclusions. And it’s available free online.

David mackay obviously has quite some influence now as chief scientific advisor at DECC.

Oh yes maybe a superlight would fit the bill. But then again, everyone has got a santacruz these days as well. Surely there must be something a bit more interesting out there…?

I’m in the same market for a new bike or frame. But is there any thing a bit less mainstream available?

So far we’ve had: Trek, Giant, Specialised and Marin. But what else is available?

There is a kurdish tailor who works out of a shop at the end of my road.

He has just done a fine job of triple stitching my endura baggies that had ripped down the middle and he also fixed a new zip to a gore riding top that I had broken.

He’s had also fixed a suit for me and repaired some old trousers. very good.

Yup was a really good day out. Great course and near perfect weather for it. Loved the three main additional sections of trail.

Sign posting was a bit hit and miss in places and a few people went wrong although I understand a few signs went missing over Friday night. I went wrong with about 10 other riders after the final food station and ended up cycling around the wind farm and then dropping on to the W2 linking trail before retracing my steps – glad I did cos the last 15k were awesome.

Was definitely a bit harder than the brecon beast, and probably up there with the selkirk marathon as well in terms of quality riding.

Nice vibe at Bryn Betws afterwards as well.

Big thanks to the organisers, all the marshalls and Bryn Betws!

A cold shower after riding might help. Worked for me after I couldn't sleep after evening training rides.

Yup specialised tyres are my first choice. 2.2 captain on the front and a 2.0 on the back would be good.

    £46 for the pair.

You need to find the article on bikeradar about making your own drinks and then look at the comments, where the website for the expert enthusiast for home made drinks is linked.

Just be careful with the caffeine…

I can measure it with an ikea paper tape measure. Should be accurate enough. It's just that I'm at work now and the bike is at home.
    cheers

Sex toy in the hand luggage is good for flights home. Not so great for Glasgow to Newcastle though.

You could always leave him in the rugby club in jedburgh enroute for an hour or two.

I saw one of these get written off the other day. Was at some services on the m5 after twentyfour12. Poor sod driving hadn't had much sleep!

£6100 is a lot of money

Hey reggie, I think you're onto something there.

I'm running a 160mm bolted straight in to the forks and want to upgrade to a 180mm. Sorry brain still recovering from twentyfour12.

So I'll need an adaptor then? Probably post to post +20mm like this

Meals I enjoyed were chili con carne con white beans, and dhal with spicy smokey haddock. Dressed beans and tuna was ok

Everything else was a bit too beany for me
