We have it in our bathroom, very nice. Thermostatically controlled not bad on the bills either. The display unit thing shows how much it costs too if you input the price per unit.
    Very glad we got it.

haha as david jey says – shouting “on your…” is fine if you’re lapping, trying to pass and expecting me to move out the way by shouting is a no-no

Decathlon do one if you have one nearby, been using one for a while with no issues and they’re cheaper than most others.

I’ll be racing full season again in the North West League.

Just got a new tub on order, been commuting on the cx bike for the past few weeks to get used to it again, been doing plenty of training over the summer.

    Cant wait!

i agree with @ Travis – if you track what you eat on your phone – plenty of apps out there, it’s much easier to see what you’re consuming in food but also exercise.

I’ve found that weighing myself throughout the day results in varying degrees of fluctuations. I seem to loose and gain weight throughout the day. Makes sense i suppose as you eat, sh*t and pi*s it out.

Which is why they always say weigh yourself at the same time every day….stick to a time and go with it.

Although i don’t agree with weighing yourself first thing in the morning since you’ve effectively fasted/dehydrated for 7/8 hours, you’re bound to be on the low side…

that’s what goes through everyone’s head! It’s a well known status – “the open water freakout”

combined with the hyperventilating @sprootlet talkes of and it makes for one hell of a freakout.

You get used to it. Eventually.

I’ve only been open water swimming for about 4 months now but it was a bit of adjustment from the pool.

Not sure it’s “better” but it’s certainly harder and different.

haha @Eddiethegent i was exactly the same at Moab slickrock! I did Poison Spider the day after which was better but i was still a little underwhelmed. I’m sure if i had a guide and some local knowledge it would have been a different story though.

As others have mentioned get the train from the airport. You can walk directly there from the airport.
Plenty of Premier Inn’s in the city centre. The Union is a short taxi ride away straight down Oxford road, you’re talking £10 ish, or a bus for a couple of quid.
I’d fly not drive if I had the choice, its easy enough and well connected.

The pad is very thick and the breathability of the mush is poor. But for that price you can’t grumble!

Does anyone race XC on 1×11? I’m speccing up a group set for a XC race bike and am currently in a “land of confusion”
As to which way to go.
I like the faff free front mech and bars simplicity of it all but worried I’ll be out of gears on a fast flat course or a mass sprint start.

Any XC racers running 1×11 – or not, got any input?

No help but yeah the sizing is weird – I even emailed them when I got some to tell them it was weird!

I’m exactly the same dimensions as you, I went for S/M but I think they’re a tad small tbh

They’re bloody aggressive most of the time, especially around nesting season. They regularly dive bomb people, although admittedly not to eat them. I hope.

@amplebrew – did you get the WORD from JRA? I’m currently hovering over pulling the trigger – i’m torn between the WORD and the White Industries ENO build myself….

I heard bad things about reliability of Surly although they were on my list originally.

surely her only viable train of thinking can be when she sees people coming from her and your right hand side – in that lane, and turning into that left lane – so their equivalent 12 o clock.

but that’s giving her a massive helping hand in thinking.

    You’re right she’s wrong.

Nah, I find Specialized much better. Although as someone has already mentioned, its mostly down to the fit.
