You think three base panels evenly spaced between the washer/dryer etc would be enough?

Yes! My 810 does the same – i lost 7 hours worth of data a few weeks ago during the Lakes 100.

I took to social media to complain who suggested i talk to Garmin support they said: “it was probably memory related and suggest you save your ride regularly” Great. I’ll just stop and keep saving it then. Cheers.

My 510 seems fine though. Although i’ve never done that kind of distance using it.

I’ve often wondered the same myself. I’m like you and only have one car for the family but i’ve biked for the commute now for 10+ years and wondered how much i’d have saved over those years.

I just can never be arsed to sit down and work it out. :-)

I’m in a similar quandary myself, leaning towards the Camber.

Has anyone spotted any deals around at the minute? Full or frame only would do.

Very sad. I’d seen him over 20 times, Paris, London, after show gigs. Some great memories. The after show gig after the last O2 show when Amy Winehouse joined him on stage was one of many a highlight. Also like a lot of you on here a soundtrack to my youth and a huge part of my musical education….

    Too young.

    a bit like sunglasses

You mean the things that protect your very sensitive and precious “you only get one pair” eyes, from grit and whatnot flying into your face at 20mph? Yes, just another accessory.

Why not just put your bits in an unused bottle in the cage, a la roadie style? Keep it clean and you can stuff something inside to stop stuff rattling about.

Yup buy some sports “briefs” I bought some when training for an ultra and similarly chaffed my nads. Very painful it was too…..once chaffed twice briefs. Or something.

They come with a quick release type thing but as I understand it its a slightly odd euro standard. Looks easy enough to remove and replace, just a bit confused as to what bits I need.
I bought it second hand btw, no idea if they still do them tbh.

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Horrendous. Scared stiff of it still now in my mid 40’s….

Silly I know but I simply can’t watch a moment of it.

yeah dont start at the back. Get yourself as close to the front as possible. The fast people will go past you easy enough anyhow. Its no place to be polite thinking ooh i’ll keep out of everyones way. Get yourself as close to the front as possible then follow Krytons game plan, try and enjoy it – probably when it’s finished :)

As Cougar says you need to plug your router direct into that socket on the right of your photo. If it’s OK in there then you know it’s an internal wiring issue. If it’s the same in there then it’s back to BT.

Internal wiring issues are commonly resolved by re-punching the wires into those connectors. You can get s punch down tool for under £10, I think even b&q sell them. You’d reattach both ends, so that socket and the other end of your extension.

And yes leave that other word off – in fact just snip it off to avoid confusion when you look again a few years and wonder why it’s hanging there.

Cx70’s are great stoppers, excellent vfm BUT there’s no mechanism for releasing the cable to get the wheel out. meaning you have to deflate your tyre. A slight pita but I bet the Ultimates don’t require this….
I never got on with mini v’s, in fact they were way worse than frog legs or cx-70’s.
On my last CX race of the season I was the only rider left on cantis, everywhere I looked was disks, that seemed to happen really quickly. I’m in the same boat as you though…..cantis for at least another season.

@trevorderuise running an electronic – actually think it was a combination of what you said. Think when it switched from erg mode to resistance it was on some daft 90% resistance setting 8O
Also a bit of feel/fit like you say. Been back on it again today and felt much better. I’ll retest again next week and see how it goes that time.

Anyone else test quite differently on the MTB to the road bike?

Having just come out of CX season in reasonable shape, i have just switched the turbo setup onto the MTB in prep for the XC season.

First test on the MTB and my ftp is quite a bit lower. Not sure if its just the setup or what. I calibrated beforehand, obviously the gears are different etc.but I did find it hard going. HR was higher than on the road bike.

Anyone else see the same or is it just a setup thing you think?

I have a set on my commute built by JRA. They get abused daily and still as true as the day they arrived.
JRA said they were strong. They certainly seem it.

Its also technically illegal to sell OEM versions without their matching PC.

I know because Microsoft got in touch with me when I tried to flog some in eBay!

    Plenty still do though.

Yeah i’d complain anyhow. I work for a FCA regulated company, believe you me these complaints get registered and dealt with as top priority.

Go ahead with plan A but log the complaint as well, push it as far as you can. After all it’s not like you’re taking the pi** is it? You have a genuine complaint.

That’s it for me. Final race of the North West league, good finish. Improved loads on last season which was all I was aiming for so can’t complain.

See you all on next seasons thread!

all my kit gets hung up when i get to work – 8 mile commute each way, then i wear it when for the return journey. Bibs, baselayers and socks all go in the wash when i get home, there’s no way i would wear them again as the base layer and bibs are usually soaked – i will however wear them if i’m jumping straight on the turbo when i get home no point changing them then. Shorts and jackets/gillet, gloves once a week.
