Hi womp,I’ve ordered the team version same as yourself, how do you know it’s delated and what size you ordered?
When was yours due to arrive

    Cheers
    Gary

sorry only just seen this, mine was a small due week 17

I’ve gone for the 8.0 now, i still cant figure out where the extra weight is over the 9.0 though

Does anyone have a source for drivechain weights ?

I’d probably go for the XT Though, can’t quite see the point in 2×11 unless you can get the Sram cassette to fit and work properly on the XTR Setup then 1x that.

I agree, Shimano 1×11 does not have the range so id run it 2×11, i may aswell save the cash and get the XT 2×10, with the money i save i can get some LB rims, plus i can always upgrade to XT 1×11 when i comes out and hopefully a wide ratio cassette will be available at that point also

Why not just get a new Raspberry Pi 2 for a fraction of the cost?

    i dont know 8O

im after something that is simple to use with a remote and is quick

a friend of mine has an android box that is sluggish takes a life time to load artwork.

ive just been told that Kodi is no longer supporting apple TV in the next release but will still support Mac, i could get a mac mini which is £399 but is that overkill ?

Im running them on LB carbon and mavic’s fine, the are tighter than the Hutchinson but i use a compressor which helps with the initial airdump needed to seat them

I use this anchor chemical bonded with an Almax 16mm chain

im a little lost as to where the extra weight is between the 8.0 (XT) ad the 9.0 SL (XTR)

a quick goggle suggests only 40g between the drive-chain, the wheels are the same at 1720g so that means the ali bars weigh an extra 560g

Yes I looked at the radon slide myself, they are excellent value if your paying GBP

Personally the canyon just had the edge based on colour and I like gadgets (shapeshifter)

I’ve had a quote for courier collection for £87, so you could just pay on in euro for collection and send your courier

What’s the best way to take advantage of the exchange rate ?

Pay on card at the showroom ? Or exchange GBP for euros over here before we set off ?

3 of us are ordering Strives and are planning a trip to Germany, we will have to cram the bikes in a car though as the van is twice the price on the ferry.

AdeC: have you weighed your bike ? Just wondering if it’s near the claimed figures ?

Also what do you use it for ? Is it ok for everyday duties or does it feel a drag ?

Cheers guys, a Think I’m convinced the Canyon is the right choice, I was concerned about the weight but I’ll just have to MTFU

what bike is this one replacing, and why?

It’s replacing a 29er XC so it’s a whole new direction, it will be used for everything from uplift to MTL

Now I need to decide wich geometry to get (first world problems!)

Thanks for this post I’m currently procrastinating over a new bike I’ve got a 25lb Carbon 110mm 29er and it climbs like a missile but I’m thinking about something more capable on the downs but the same as you I’m a bit concerned about dragging a 30lb bike around but reading your post makes me feel a bit better about taking the plunge.

I did email cube last week but had no reply, my local cube dealer has just said spec says 32’s for the 27.5 & 34 for the 29 but won’t really know until they come in stock, I don’t want to waste my time and pre-order only to find out they are last seasons skinny 32’s…. ohhhh the shame

Looks like that Russian website is down now but I’m sure others will pop up in its place… I shall make sure I change the default passwords :)

We want a cam as sometimes we are to far away to hear the kids (in the garage on the turbo) and it would be great to see aswell as hear so we don’t unwittingly wake a child by checking on them, also our 3 year old likes to play a little when we put her to bed (play includes drawing on the walls, hitting her sister, suffocating her sister, banging on the window..ect)

    I’ve found this…..

Normal baby cam with monitor and up to 4 cams but can connect to WiFi via a bridge…

Bit expensive but fits the bill I guess

Cheers guys, we already have an angel monitor pad so that’s covered

The main problem I’ve had is that most kits only have one monitor and it would be ideal to have 2 (one for me and one for the anchor)

I have found a summer infants system that has 2 monitors but it only works with one cam and I need 3

@womp,white nice too. Like this pattern (I’d have the red,but it is your bike)…. .How about vinyl wrap?,hmm…bored now, peel it off start again new season new wrap…..

vinyl wrap would be nice as you can some awesome results that you would struggle to paint, but as im trying to keep cost down it’s only £25 for a 1 colour paint job

Not sure about the colour but that looks like a really nice frame. Are you using it as a cx or as a road bike?

CX…its will be for riding in the woods and commuting (hence the yellow). i may do a couple of local CX races

Its from http://www.flyxii.com A cyclo cross frame. Excellent, I also have raced their 29er carbon MTB frame all year which is mega.

Cheers ill take a look, i was looking at a through axle version from Miracle Bikes (id need new hubs though so prob not worth it) or a standard QR with mudguard fixings from ICAN

Hmmm, That Microshift jobbie says “cable pull ratio 1.5:1”
I’m pretty sure Dynasys works on 1.16:1 (Close but not quite 1:1)
Will that bar end shifter actually operate a 10 speed Shimano clutch MTB mech?

I emailed micro shift and this is the response i got…

Thanks for the concerns you reminding.

Actually 1 : 1.5 cable pull ratio ( Shimano MTB 10 speed RD ) is a kind of saying in the industry
to identify it’s different from MTB 9 speed RD & road RD. In the meantime to tell it’s different
    from Sram ( Sram says its RD’s cable pull ratio is 1 : 1, but it’s not exactly 1 : 1 ). We’ll correct
the saying to avoid some confusion may caused.

Our bar end shifter BS-M10 is compatible with Shimano MTB 10 speed RD.

    Regards
    microSHIFT
