    cheers for the options

    yes i should have mentioned budget,max £1000

We already have a set of Bepro power meter pedals so we don’t need a power meter bike.

the boss has come up with this …

    Body max B2 £179

we have this in a local store
    C510 £450

    or this
    £850

I suppose the question is whats the difference between these 3 (apart from price)

When you say permanently secured, do you mean seal them up or do you want to be able to use them as a door still?

Yes seal them up, never to be used again

cheers peeps, i went for the Kryptonite on the simple premise that its thicker and therefore may act at a better deterrent and take longer to attack.

Thanks for the advice, a big map is a great idea

I have found Cyclops Virtual trainer which has a small 1 month fee and should (according to the forums) work with any open ANT+ power meter

The only issue is it adds in all the elevation so it wont just be the miles

Required by you, not the users.

maybe but i as a customer expect an account from CRC,wiggle,Evans, ticket master so i can track my purchases and subscriptions

Anyway. Is it a WP.com site or are you hosting a WP.org installation? I’m 99% certain that my self-hosted install doesn’t have such requirements.

    it is self hosted

The site has a membership system and a shop so an account is required users can keep track of subscriptions and to a lesser extent any shop any order history

Cheers, looks like the BB would be to low then, i shall scrap that idea

BB drop on the standard 16″ fatty is 53mm
BB drop on the 13″ baby fatty is 24mm

so am i right in thinking the BB on the standard 16″ with 24″ wheels would be 29mm lower than the baby fatty ?

    womp

i guess the bottom bracket height will be the same as the 24″ model?
as for Tyre choice yep totally appreciate that and it’s one of the reasons im thinking about getting the normal fatty frame in a 16″ then fitting 24″ wheels so it has an upgrade option.

basically i can get the baby fatty which is a 13″ frame or get a 16″ normal fatty and fit 24inch wheels, the 16″ gives a longer reach which would be nice and it can always take bigger tyres if need be, then again it may just look silly with the smaller wheels

It’s looking like a Jump bike is favourite, I will get one with a front brake as I do enjoy a good rolling stoppie

Most of these brands are new to me so I’ll have a little Google

As a left field option one of my mates said get one of these :

Whilst designed for the kids, we’ve all been raring to have a go on this. It will give a livelier, more throwable ride than its elder sibling, which make it perfect for the streets or pump track. So, buy it for your child and ride it yourself. It’s a win

Cheers peeps, a jump bike/4X does seem to fit the bill although they don’t have a front brake.

Cheers for the links, I’d prefer a new full build though

I have suffered for years with raynaud’s (cold hands) and had stop group riding in winter until recently, i tried most top end gloves from all the major brands and the only solution that i found works for me is heated gloves (although Pogies & Bar mitts are also highly recommended).

Gloves are always a fine balance between fit, dexterity and acceptable warm which all differ from person to person, but bang for your buck i dont think you can beat Pogies or bar mitts (if only they made Enduro versions)

‘Man cave’? This, sir, is a travesty of a man-cave. A micro-cinema? Granted. A media room? Absotively.

Of course I’m working on either/or scenario via assumption/projection (sic). A drop-down screen and projector could work in an existing man-cave, but the awful temptation could be to remove all other man-cave items and simply have a couch-potato/screen-addict room!

Don’t panic! the man cave has a workbench, several bikes (2 Mtb 1 road, 1 CX) a turbo trainer (im going to try zwift on big screen), a track bike, and most importantly a beer fridge.

i’d go for a stereo setup and spend lots more on the projector. You can always upgrade the audio after, but the projector doesn’t have much upgrade potential.

I did look at some more expensive projectors but was told by a couple of sales guys that the more expensive projector are good for rooms with ambient light and bigger throw, my room is 4m depth and with no ambient light

    – Piano hinge the full length of the door
    – 3 Gatemaster locks (top, middle, bottom)
    – Builders straps on the roof and around locks
    – brace your door and frame
    – if you install 240 dont protect it and run it around the internal at waist height (they will get a nice surprise if they try to cut through that)
    – A very very very LOUD alarm siren that will make there ears bleed (eg Klaxon master blaster)
    – Baby monitor or IP cam
    – And most importantly..tack a small strip of wood on the door that laps the shed frame when it closes fitted with a hidden alarm contact – they will need to peel the strip back to attack the lock or pry the door which will trigger your very LOUD alarm before they even get in or damage your shed

Not all IMAX is the same, the one at the Trafford Center is pathetic it’s 17.94 x 9.58m = 172m2

The one in Manchester Printworks is 26.3 x 18.8m = 495m2, the difference is night and day

I don’t see the issue here. Why would not go for the one that says ‘race’*?

I agree with you that the longer race geo offers the better platform, but at the ops size he is in the lucky position that the normal medium and race small are the same frame so they can just chose the spec they want.

Much appreciated cougar, if the branded was only a touch more expensive then maybe I could justify it or if it was my living room TV

I guess I’m not overly worried about quality as its mainly you tube vids and KODI streams which are not the best quality anyhow

I won’t use the EPG as I have a PC connected and have a sound bar so maybe that factors out a couple of the cheapo issues

    This is the latest favourite
