HC, I think we all know that the answer is yes to both of those questions :D

I've got a Neko which is going to be upgraded to a Tesco torch.

The Neko's not bad, will throw about 7-10 yards, decent beam widthand has been reliable, the Tesco torch is significantly brighter and has a better throw though.

    Not used a Tora.

I think mine's great too, had it for two years now, I like the saddle though

I've been successfully night riding for the last two winters with just a 5w smart halogen with a lead/acid battery strapped my top tube.

I added a Cateye Neko headlight to my helmet for this years Clic 24. I've just got a Hope Vision 2 and the Tesco torch, all I need to do is attach the torch now.

1st ride out will be tomorrow night, we'll see how I get on.

But would helium filled tyres offer a weight saving?

    wombat

They're huge and only work in places where my current phone does and don't do anything extra that I need.

However, if they worked everywhere and were half the size and made good coffee and felt nice and furry and could inflate my tyres in an emergency and had a pliers attachement I'd be interested 8) :-)

(Edit) sent by carrier pigeon :-)

I'm having a quiet day in the office whilst investigating the medicinal effects of strong tea and a Drifter (wanted a Double Decker but there weren't any the office chocolate box). Seems to be helping a bit

If you've paid for the shocks to be delivered to you and they haven't been then the seller needs to send you another set. It's not for you to take the loss if they've used a poor provider to get the shocks to you

    Twist grip changers

They've been dead for about 10 years anyway, they only really adorn kids bikes and XC races bikes, and XX looks to put paid to the latter!

Just because they're dead now doesnt mean they were any good to start with

This was covered in an episode of Mythbusters.

IIRC you had to be about 10-12 FEET behind the truck at 50mph for maximum benefit but there was an improvement in economy for the rear vehicle from further back.

I'm looking for a handlebar mounted light, perhaps the medium beam one. I'll email them and see what they'd recommend.

They couldn't possibly have kept it hidden for much longer. 8O

Agree with Stumpyjohn, as I see it if you've been made redundant then you can go work where you like, especially as the whole premice of redundancy is that there isn't the work there for you at that organisation.

I play Bull$h1t Bingo on these occasions. Whoever can collect the most management buzzwords wins.

Alternatively, get together with a couple of like minded collegues and see if you can get the most song titles/bands/football teams/insert group of words here into whatever you say in the meeting, keeps me awake anyway…

If your client is happy with your work and is just hacked off with your boss he may be interested in giving you some work on a freelance basis or even taking you on to the staff.
Would your clinet be worth approaching for any opportunities there?

On University Challenge it's either 1, -1 or 0 as the answer to any maths question, have you tried those?
