I presume there’s a clever automatic hatch that opens in the wall to accommodate the bike when the door opens…….

Watching with intetrest, was just about to ask pretty much the same question.

The slug on your forehead didn’t cause the spots.

The spots were caused by the 3 or 4 slugs that will have slithered into your mouth and down into your stomach while you were asleep.

Make him look real big an’ all.

A warm room will help this, a cold room will not help at all and could well make things worse…..

Having looked through this thread I think that the reason your bike is heavier than you’d like it to be is that the numbers to the left of the kg symbol are too large.

Try replacing them with smaller numbers; a simple change from 9.8kg to 8.8kg will make a world of difference (probably)

Possible muppet question but if you don’t ask you never find out…..

What it is “facing” a frame and why might it be necessary?

I currently have the misfortune to be driving a Vauxhall Insignia whilst my car is in the bodyshop for a new front end following a muppet in a van pulling out of a side road in front of me.

It is, without doubt, the most hateful vehicle I’ve ever had the misfortune to drive.

It’s a 1.8 petrol and it struggles to maintain 70mph on a motorway when it has 4 normal sized adults in it.

It’s impossible to find a comfortable position to drive in.

The interior plastic would be rejected by Fisher Price for being too nasty.

It handles like a cow on casters.

I have driven several of the cars that folks have cited on this thread but not one of them is as utterly horrible in so many ways as the Insignia with which I am currently inflicted.

Fortunately I should be getting my car back on Friday so I’ll be able to return the current heap to Enterprise.

I also worked with a guy whose surname was Penistone.

Moderately humorous but even funnier was his IT login that was the first 5 letters of the person’s surname

    My condolences.

I was in the same situation as you 20 years ago, good mate of mine, we were both at different Universities, was a massive shock.

Whatever you do dont blame yourself for anything, you feel you may not have done for him.

Be there for his family and fellow freinds, perhaps visit his wife in the next week.

Be strong. oh and cry your eyes out it does help a bit.

This is absolutely right. As above, don’t blame yourself and don’t underestimate the benefit of having a really good cry.

Do you have to have a special socket installed in the top of your head to accept that long plastic pin?

If that’s how it’s held on, it will do away with the need for uncomfortable chinstraps so I’m not sure why the’re fitted in the picture…. 😀

I’ve got a 2008 (I think) HT Pro and it’s a sort of light bronzy colour, could possible look a bit silvery in a certain light.

Don’t think there was an actual silver one though (could well be wrong though).

My cat purrs and swishes her tail at the same time. Not sure what that is about

Perhaps the action of the purr has caused a breaking of the wind and she’s wafting to dispell it

give my kids a slice of cake and say “One cuts and the other chooses” and the cutter will be molecule accurate in splitting it in two.

I do this too, it’s ace

    I think it’s involuntary too….

I reckon ours gets annoyed with his purring, when he’s pretending to be in a bad mood, if we stroke him he’ll start purring and seem annoyed that it spoiled his ploy.

    This is brilliant 🙂

We got my daughter a Rockrider 5.1 from Decathlon in a 14″ frame, it’s not outrageously heavy and rides nicely. Was about £140 18 months ago IIRC.

It’s a 3×9 shimano F & R mech with gripshift & V brakes (from memory as it’s in the garage and I’m not) Well worth a look if there’s a store near you. Plenty left in the budget to upgrade any parts you feel are lacking.

Not having a landline can reduce your credit rating if you’re wanting a loan IIRC
