Thanks for the suggestions, I ordered a pair of basic lycra shorts over the weekend to use as liner shorts, I’ll have a look online with him this evening to see what we can find from the suggestions.

    Cheers

Good call. I forgot they do delivery, my nearest store is about 2 hours away so I tend to forget to check the website

    That looks smart.

I mounted mine just behind the vent behind your mount (if you know what I mean)

I stuck a GoPro mount (a curved one, not a flat one) on the top of my Stoker (easy now, no sniggering at the back) and it’s been solid for a few rides now and is still showing no signs of shifting.

I do run a safety lanyard from the camera through a couple of the vents but that’s a just-in-case thing and hasn’t been required.

Just alter the listings so they include a Buy It Now option for the agreed prices.

I’ve done this in the past, both parties are protected.

    Try here…

    London Lands End[/url]

A friend of mine and her husband put it together (other than that I’ve no link to it).

Might be handy as a starter for 10

My gut feeling would be that for the purposed of CGT it should be from whenever she stopped having a financial interest in the property, i.e. when she stopped paying (all or part of) the mortgage.

Sounds a great idea. Ride up, train home…..

That’s exactly my thinking (although in my case it would be train, ride, train)

I think you would have to define it as, say, the capital to capital route circa 1920 or 30 and then research that.

I think this is probably what I’ll do.

Given the A168 passes the end of my road not that far from the mid-point I may be able to engineer a night out at my local en route 8)

That’s true but the section up as far as Thirsk/Darlington looks fairly close so would be good as a starter for 10

    LEL looks interesting.

I’d like to follow the route of the GNR as closely as possible, not sure how closely the LEL does that (have signed up to the newsletter just in case…)

A friend of mine has a trailer tent because it’s lighter to tow than a caravan.

This mean that he can run an Alfa Mito rather than anything bigger and since there’s only the two of them they have no need for a car big enough to tow a comparable sized caravan.

In an old shoebox and then put the pictures in date order when you get them back from the developers.

You can make section dividers cut out of an old cereal box if you want to make finding stuff a bit easier.

If you have to use a second shoebox for overflow make sure you label the boxes so you know which one is the full one and which still has space in it.

OP did you happen to notice the altitude of the hem of his trousers? Anything above the ankle is usually a pretty good indicator of a lunatic.

    What about shorts?

    Just filled it in.

Good survey, I think there were some yes/no questions that would have been better if they also had a maybe option but still better than many I’ve seen.

I put 10p coins in 1 of them and 20p coins in another. Whenever I have these coins in my pocket when I get home I put them in the relevant tube and use them as an extremely slow method of saving for special things (or a very quick method of saving for inexpensive special things, whichever is most applicable to your particular viewpoint).

On the face of it the builder was acting on her behalf, at her request and therefore she is liable for anything that said builder did.

I’d be inclined to get a quote for repairs to be carried out and then tell her that is how much you need to get things put right and that you would like the money within 28 days. If she doesn’t pay up (and it sounds as though it’s unlikely she would) then get the work done and issue a small claims court summons for the costs.

I use a Tesco credit card (and clear it every month) and that gives a reasonable level of clubcard points, even better if you can find a double points deal when using them.

I think this works out better than a cashback credit card for me.

Most train ticket sellers appear to give in the region of 1.5% through Topcashback.

Until recently I had an 09 plate hatch 2.2d 185 Sport.

It was pretty frugal (50mpg full to full), handled nicely, was quick and comfortable and would take a fully built large hardtail in the back with the seats down. I did 100k in 4 years in it.

If I was buying again I’d not go for the 18″ wheels (was s/h and it came with them) as I drove one with 17″ wheels and the ride was noticeably less firm.

Let me know if you want a set of lightly used OEM roof bars…

    Thanks for the quick replies.

Based on this it looks as though we’ll be going for the adults using contactless cards and getting travelcards for the children.

We will be walking a fair bit but both junior Wombats regard tube travel as part of the London experience
