I already did skills course.. And it does helps a lot… My nearest riding place is an hour and more away.. And 90% of the time i ride alone.. It just pisses me off that your heart is telling you to smash down that downhill cliff or MTFU those drops.. But your mind telling you… Whos gonna drive you back home if you c*ck it up.. How you gonna afford a new stanchion ..or a new frame… Whos gonna drive the kid to school… How you gonna go to work (if you have one) … Thoughts like this are my biggest obstacles whenever im riding :( how you lot get over this ?

actually been and registered to different job agencies.. but the one keeps calling is the farthest one ..i think i’ll MTFU this.. and wait for the response nearby.. then ditch the far one till something came along… i’m not lazy really.. i just want to cycle to work.. if only motorway has secured cycle path i would gladly get a roadbike to do 18.8 miles each way

@tymbian no skills really mate, just work my way up.. was a stock controller my recent job on logistics/distribution before our site shuts down and move to the south..(is driving reach truck, PPT skills?) ..i am actually waiting sites nearby and the one who took over our site..but they just start hiring this week.. and i don’t know how long is the wait, i kinda need at least to be doing something.

..only skill i know of is just mountainbiking round and round cannock chase 8)

just felt guilty signing on and just sitting at home waiting and everyday online looking for work near where i live.. riding on odd days too 8) ,and i really want to buy a stumpy :(

Stick with the trance.. That is already the answer to what you are looking for… the weakest link is most always the human… only that can top this climbing with bit confidence going down is anthem with 120mm setup… Stumpy fsr are good choices too..

thanks all for taking time replying this thread.. i didn’t die today.. :D …but skip the last bit of “dragons back” after the bridge as i ran out of water .. i thought 1.5-2 litre is enough ..should have heed “bwaarp” no.5 list.. was actually counting on the cafe in the middle of the trail (trail marker 118)to top-up my water carrier but they are close :( …. and whos idea putting millions of sharp rocks on the trails :evil:
