Use a stiff brush to remove worst of crap straight after ride. Remove front wheel and use strip of inner tube to lock rear brake lever to handle bar. Vertically stand bike in bath on rear wheel. Wash with luke warm water from bath/shower mixer. Wash down bath after with Flash bathroom. Stand bike in Kitchen on old absorbent mat and dry chain, drip dry bike. Been doing this for last 4 years.

I’ve been on it since October 2012, twice a week without fail except when I was in the Alps for a week last year. Weight has dropped 83kg to 78.5 kg but now remains steady. I drink beer on the other 5 days. I no longer gets colds, whereas I used to get 2-3 / year without fail. I have got the flu once instead though. It has become second nature now, I deal with hunger pains with a couple cups of herbal tea.
There are quicker ways to lose weight but I like this as I don’t have to worry what about what I can eat or drink for the other 5 days, although I have never been a glutton.

Which is why Strava is so successful, god knows why any of the mapping apps haven’t picked up on this.
What is really needed is someone to create one that ignores roads ie roadies and works just for mtb.

£200 Ebay Cannonade Prophet frame, 650B rear, 29er up front, 140mm travel all round. BB was to high @ 15.5″ so I sent frame off and a frame repairer welded another BB underneath, now sits at 14″. I swap the same forks and wheel to and fro from my Yelli back onto this in less than 10 mins. Very happy with result.

Prophet, will take tapered forks up to 160mm, simple service on rear sus bearings (no stupid multi linkages) Strong as an ox and cheap because they are under rated.
