Otley any good to you? Direct Tyre Services @ candlestick yard, service, not and tyres!

    Reliable and reasonable.

    Typo, ‘Rex’ should read ‘red’

Flashing helps you ‘to be seen’ by the oncoming traffic.

Normal lights help with ‘you seeing’ what is front of you and can help others see you.

I’ve got one and like the ability to switch before I ride or even carry the chin guard if I think I might need it. It’s not my only helmet and I’d use another on hot days as I get a very warm head.

In terms of robustness the latches are firm and work well. Not sure what they’ll be like a year later though.

If it helps I am 5 10 on a medium, suggesting you need a large as a minimum.

Well that was a bloody good trip. Stopped at Twin Trails B+B, a no frills but bike friendly and well fitted out place that is a few minutes drive to BPW.

Had a day and a half and did all the red and blue and wimped out of doing any black.

Fav trail was rimdinger for the technical challenge and Terry’s belly for the length and flow. New Rex trail opens next month and I’ll go back again later in the year.

Yes, some of the logistics (showers and the bike wash (not working) could be better. But if you think you could run a centre any better I suggest you go and build one yourself!

Credit to the team for making it a great place.

Jonnytheleyther the idea of the cable holder is great, the reality is very different. Had one and it lasted a few weeks, now have a speed stuff neoprene Velcro wrapthing designed for DH forks to protect from cable rub and it’s a much better solution.

Cheers for the initial responses. For the food looking for places to eat out after riding as topping down for a couple of days. Looks like we’ll be avoiding the black if the red and blue are that good.

What sort of leg armour (if any) did you take?

Giro xar does the job for me as does a Bell Supee. Trip the MIPS version in the Bell as the cradle inside is slightly different.

The standard KS lever seems small to me with regards to how much lever there is locate my thumb on and then there is the whole sticky cable things as well, although I believe the stock cable is of poor quality.

Nice pedals, but too expensive when compared to others.

Bregante, yes Cappuccino is a stupid name for a car. But they were fantastic to drive, a real rollerskate car.

If anyone has been having trouble with cable run on the lefty forks but a set of speed stuff neoprene guards for DH forks, snip and fit. It does a great job. The stick on clamp that someone recommended looked but was pooop!

VW Touareg mk2, to keep the cost down by the R5 diesel version, it’s a bit noisey but bombproof. And find an Altitude model if you can.

I’ve between Departments and the norm would be to move on the same amount unless you are under at which point they will move you up to the minimum of their scale. Depending on which t&c’s you are own you might end up loosing some holiday rights as the new ones aren’t as good as the old. If in doubt check with them.

If applying for a job at DWP good luck waiting a response or an accurate response. They sent me a welcome letter 18 months after leaving…I’d been there 11 years…

As per cdaimers go for the canvas approach. Write it once and revisit it every week for the foreseeable future. The world never stops and neither should your plan.
