It was open three weekends back on a saturday and doing good business. Relocated to a wooden shed whilst they do some work on the house. Welcome cake, sarnies and coffee break before that bloody climb.

If available get a detachable tow bar and check whether the fit can be done without cutting the bumper. It will leave the car lookkng much better when it isnt on bike carrying duties.

When you are done with it, please sell it to me.  In the mean time enjoy

With a through ticket you are fine if the first one cocks up and there is no way that first class on a saturday is going to be full on any leeds to london train, so they will honour you a firat class ticket later in the day.

My experience of northern trains in train strike days has been good. If youvare worried download the trainline app and monitor how the trains out of leeds are running, you’ll soon see if there are problems.

If you are looking for a PS3 head to CEX as there kit comes with a one year gaurantee rather than ebay iffiness.

If starting from scratch GT Sport is going to be an expensive outlay for console, game (wheel if that is your preference) and play station live membership for online racing.

If you are coming from a PS1 scratch the itch with a PS3 and last version of Gran Turismo, it will cost you about 20% of the PS4 outlay.

That aside GT Sport is great and the free new content is great, i think thia ia the third or fourth free content upgrade with cars and circuits.

I bought a set on ebay last month, came direct from Clarks (they have an odd bike shol name for ebay) and can confirm that they are great value for money.  Would happily buy another set.

Fingers crossed someone will be able to help and lend you one or point you to a local shop.

Middle of the road option, hire a bike.

Blow the cash option, ask the shop to fit a new fork.

Hope one of theae works out for you.

Also have a think if you’ll end up taking a friend to a show ie two horses …..it always happens. If so you’ll be needing some more grunt.  Most 4 x 4s will do one, not many will pull two  (and all the other crap on the car (riders x 2, driver, water, saddles etc) so if anything overbuy and pullnin comfort rather than killing an undepowered car up hills and across fields.

The one with the best service history and the least amount of owners.  So probably the Toyota being sold by the 60plus retired person who had it from and probbaly is selling it locally rather than autotrader.

VW Touraeg, youll need to fold the seats. Very comfy on long drives. Look for failed drive shaft bearings at about 60,0000.

Reliable, but avoid diesels with high emissions as tax can be very high.

Ordered on line at the post office if you at getting more than £200 of anything as the rate is much better. You can collect from your local branch later in the day.

I previously used the first direct service, through travels, and then realised I was getting rubbish rates.

In Italy I’ve avoided ATMs as we came across a lot of readers being used.  Greece was ok though.

Gutted not to be going this year. It should be an easy win for Toyota this year and probably next as there is a  WEC superseaon that runs until Le Mans 2019.

But never say never, another Toyota melt down is always possible.

Aston Martin and others are on about joining post 2019 and they are defining a new class to replace LMP1 with a Hypercar  category……

Plenty of potential for the future and although folk have complained about the changes, that is what has happened throughout the decades at Le Mans as manufacturers come and go as car definitions change.

Soo…I’ll be tuning into Eurosport this weekend and wishing I was there.

DezB let me know if you can’t find the one for her year of birth, I may have one you can have for the cover price. I have a large collection and I’d rather they were enjoyed and/or contributed to a meaningful present.

I managed to find one for my year of birth, albeit it’s in Dutch!

Twin Rails is good, but parking can be hit and miss as you are parking on a main road.  Good space for your bikes in the accomodation though.

Stopped in a great converted miners house last time, but only sleeps four though, has garage with bike repair kit and a Jacuzzi in the garden!

For food, try the wood fired pizza place in the centre of town near the Wetherspoons.

Yes, Merthyr is different from most English towns as is Dunmfries, but just enjoy somewhere that is different and avoid the generic high street brands that litter our nation.

Just had a look at that autotrader link, that honda Elysion looks fantastic.

If you can live with ugly also look at the Subaru tribeca.

Another shout for a phaeton  if you can find a diesel or can afford the petrol.  Think there was a very thirsty v10.

Lots of honda CRVs and HRVs out there, reliable, cheap possibly a bit dull.
