I am also still looking for a 24 wheel bike, ideally near Leeds, for similar money, shout if you’ve got one! Cheers

ah yes good point rick re. shins – a nice pair of 661 shin veggies are a good investement depedning on your pedal pin length and your ability to keep you feet planted!

Have also just moved to flats and love them rides when there is the occasional techy bit where I might dab eg stainburn Will be tempted to but the crank bros back on it for longer rides for more efficiency and when the trails are easier. We go mg1s are nice and free flow bikes in Scotland have a healthy discount on five tens at the moment

similar without the tossy badge and lacking the petrol guzzling engine…

And I don’t want to be taking the family on visits around the country in a defender – although that way they would stop talking to me ;-)

eye on a black altitude model – stainless exhaust, piano black trim and leather and lots of toys (no bluetooth though as that was a £500 option – wtf!) seem to have found a good place for towbar fitting, thankfully not the vw agarage who wanted….wait for it…..£1,000!

cheers have been looking at a high spec 2.5 model, looked at and loved the v10 but couldn’t justify burning that much petrol. Looks like I’d need to source a good independent vw garage. Not bothere by driving dyanmics it’s to tow two horses or a bike rack with three bikes and I drive a 4wd Qashqai at the moment (don’t buy one by the way)so you’ll gather the driving experience isn’t hugely important or the internal size. Nick – what’s the main difference between a nomral auto and the tiptronic – none of the online reviews have mentioned/commented on it?

Hold yours horse for a moment…

…..you can log back into your account and see the tickets you applied for, if you then get the amount billed to your card you can figure out what tickets you’ve got!

I didn’t get tickets for the BMX final :-(

But I am going to the athletics :-)

worth having a look at John Lewis, they will price match most places and you’ll get a longer guarantee chucked in as well.

I ended up with a Sony Bravia with Freeview HD – more channels are on the way – if you can’t find one with build in freeview HD, get a standard HD tv and buy a Freeview HD + box in the future then you’;ll have the joy of being able to record HD as well

If your looking for something, fast, cheap and foldy – mail me – I need to move my trek f600 on – has xtr v brakes, easton carbon bars. the bike was made by dahon and has been great for me. TBH The gears could do with some tlc at the moment but nothing major and it is going to be hugely cheaper than any brompton…

This place was called Clifton House in the past – best food in the area at a reasonable price and nice owners and very nice rooms. Shed for bikes so relatively mtb friendly

Hard to find anymore as they (Dahon made them for them)stopped but Trek did a great series of folding bikes. I've got an F600 9 speed folder which is fab – found it on ebay. There are lower speak 200 and 400 models as well.

J E James has a great range of folding bikes at great prices as well…

am loving my trek fuel 9.9 – think a 15mm qr would make a huge improvement to the front end as well

ahhh it's the ball – there was me thinking that England was just shite and that most of the country was getting carried away supporting a team with little chance of winning

it's a ball, that is round, like all other balls. If grown men (who get paid megabucks) can't use it they shouldn't be professional footballers..

    1) a surprise party at a local restaurant with friends from far and wide
2)diamond ring (not an engagement ring taking into account your previous post
    3) a v expensive mountain bike (probably not)
    4) if she's into horses find friends to look after the animals and go to burghley horse trials for the weekend and stop over in a posh hotel (one called the George somewhere nearby to Burghley I think)

if it's still going and you want a good choice try MX5 city (imports and UK cars I think) somewhere near sheffield/doncaster
