I reckon the M4’s might be the best bet for me then. The V2 sounds like I’ll be over-braked with it!

    Braided hoses or not??

Is the M4 somewhere between the X2 and V2 then?

    Legend.
Fantastic TV but work keeps getting in the way!

I’d love to read an autobiography by him, not sure he’d remember much though!!

@carlphillips, what area of the country are you based in?

*sits back and awaits the “neither a borrower or a lender be” lot arriving*

IMHO don’t spend what you haven’t got.

If you don’t have the money to afford the wedding you *want*, either wait until you can, or scale it back until you can afford it.

    Didn’t take long did it?

If you’re driving there it might be worth a mention that Royal Ascot starts today so traffic will be pretty bad!

Wouldn’t look cool walking onto a plane wearing pads and full-face either!

Had a mate who went to somewhere in Europe to watch the MotoGP. His motorbike got stolen from the hotel so he had to fly back to the UK.
He flew back in full one piece motorbike leathers! The airline wouldn’t, however, let him wear his helmet as well!!

Why dont we wait to see if he IS actually charged and convicted before slagging him off?

If he is it’ll be a sad but fair day. Otherwise park the venom.

    This, 100%.

Wait until after the announcements by Apple at the WWDC tomorrow.
They’re not expected to be announcing a new iPad but no one really knows until tomorrow.

Had the same problem on my Sisters’s mk4 and it was down to a faulty stop light switch.
    Cost about £10 to replace.

As much as I like some of the Danny MacAskill type videos, I thought this one was pretty cool and a good tribute from one friend to another.

You need to establish if it’s TALAS 2 or 3. 2 was a bad design and they always self-destruct in the end. Mojo do not carry any spares for TALAS 2 now, so you’d have to send the fork back to the for a service and likely they’ll replace the system with (superior) TALAS 3 at a very favourable price!

If it’s TALAS 3 then I think you can buy seal kits from Mojo, and you can follow instructions on the Fox site to fix it yourself.

How do you establish if your forks are TALAS 2 or 3?

Blimey, the 132km must have been hard, I did the 74km and it nearly killed me!

It was a great day though and really well organised again.

You sure you’ve not got a set of the 3/4 shorts by mistake 😆

I’m 6ft tall and wear the Singletrack trousers in a large and they’re fine. The guys at work who all wear them don’t have any problems with the sizing on them either.

Well I was too late for the 36 Talas but managed to get a set of 32 Talas RLC’s for a cracking price 😀

Thanks for posting that almightydutch 😆

Went out with the Boer War. I did a combat first-aid course back in the late 70’s and tourniquets were severely frowned upon even then.

Tourniquets didn’t go out with the Boer War, at least not for the emergency services.
I don’t know about anywhere else but in sunny London Town, ambulance staff are trained in use of CAT tourniquets and they’re standard issue kit.

As for first aid kits, I’ve never bothered!

Lifetime cover is the best way to do it.

Our two are insured with Animal Friends, never had any problems with them.

Evans at Chalk Farm is solely aimed towards your cool, skinny jean wearing Camden folks and in some part your well off Primrose Hill/Hampstead folks who are happy to spend a fortune on expensive rubbish!

Cycle Surgery is a much better shop.

Have you tried a different memory card? Most of the problems I’ve had with either my old Gopro or my Contour have been something to do with the memory card.

First off I’d try formatting the card.
After that, I’d try asking on the Contour support page, they’re usually pretty good if you’re having any problems.

Justgiving must be rubbing their hands together, it’s a fair amount for them when they take their 5% cut 😯

I read somewhere else that they’ve already refused numerous calls to donate their commission to Samaritans as well.

The route navigation on the 500 is pretty poor, I’ve never managed to get it to work properly.

If you have a look on the Garmin Forums there’s endless complaints that the function is as good as useless. Apparently the processor isn’t powerful enough to run the navigation or something like that.
The 800 on the other hand works fantastically well. If you look at somewhere like Handtec you can get some good deals on the 800 without the cadence or HR bits.

Fantastic, 100 days until the brown stuff REALLY hits the spinning thing in London!

I can’t see it being anything but chaos from start to finish, despite all the statements otherwise I don’t think London is ready for it.

Probably day running lights rather than sidelights on newer cars.
They come on automatically so you don’t get the option of sidelights. If that’s the case, they’re probably the people who didn’t bother putting their lights on at all!

I’ve just seen this thread and it’s got me curious about Geocaching.

Just checked out the website and downloaded the free app. It could make for some interesting excursions on some of my routes in future!

Personally I don’t think any of the emergency services should be allowed to go on strike and that’s coming from a member of the emergency services!

Try getting in touch with the guys from West Drayton Mountain Bike Club. They usually have quite a few rides going on in that area and further afield.

Maybe the judges should dish out some heavier sentences like this and it might deter these scumbags from doing things like this again.

From a personal point of views, if someone’s seriously injured, which it appears you were, the clothes are cut off and left on the floor where I’ve dumped them. If you’ve got a bag with you, that will come in the Ambulance to Hospital with us, failing that it’s up to your mates or the Police to collect your kit and do something with it.

Frankly I’m not bothered about kit that I’ve cut off patients as there’s usually a slightly more pressing thing to be dealing with like their general health and wellbeing!

The Diclofenac is probably what’s causing the nausea. Almost all anti-inflamitories have ths side effect.

It might be worth just calling your GP or NHS Direct to see if they can advise you whether you can ate them both together.

I agree with Hob Nob, I’ve had both and have gone back to the Contour HD.

If you go for the Contour, make sure you get the Flex Mount as it’s pretty versatile and can fir almost anywhere on your bike!

Wouldn’t be surprised if it was St John Ambulance or something like that. They have a few special ones amongst them who use private cars with blue lights when they’re not meant to! Their uniform, white shirt with black epaulettes on the shoulders could be confused for a Police uniform.
