Cheers boy’s, was looking at getting the hub built into my existing rim, as it is like new and matches the front rim, just wondering if you can get the conversion kit on its own ? looked on the Hope web site but can’t see anything, that could be down to me mind 🙂

Cheers guys, one other question, can I use an xt/slx/zee bottom bracket that I have just seen on crc with a deore hollowtech 2 chainset, or do I have to stay with a deore bb. Sorry for the numpty questions, but starting to do some work on the bikes myself instead of taking them to the bike shop all the time, as my lack of knowledge shows…..

Cheers coffeeking, hope you resolve your issues with the council. So far it’s cost me £160 for two tyres, if they were nearing the end of their life I would not be that bothered but they had not long been put on the car..

Thanks for the sensible answers, it is in a 30 mile an hour zone and I was doing about 10 miles an hour when this happened, you couldn’t do more than that anyway as it’s like a rock garden there with all the rough raised surfaces. There are many not just one of these raised ironworks in the road, and there are signs to tell you they are there. The problem is that the offending manhole cover was protruding nearly 2 inches above the road surface with no tarmac sloping up to its corner, there had been, but it was not being checked on a daily basis and had worn away leaving a sharp metal edge that caught the outer side wall of both tyres. I have the tyres in the garage as proof, and I was the second person who had been to the same tyre fitter that day from the same section of roadworks…

Creaser, amazing skill and speed there, anyone who has been there and done the Ranger Path would have to agree…. Great to watch regardless of the low sun mate….

Cheers guy’s, I have got a skin that covers the the back and sides of the phone and it actually leaves the charging port, camera+flash and headphone jack clear to use, got that from play.com.

I Got the pack that included the skin, car charger and screen protector, it’s just the protector that is not up to the job, it sticks fine except on the curved edges all the way round. There must be one available which is a bit thinner and more flexible, will have to keep looking. 🙂

Yep, went for a spin round the red route in Brechfa this morning and had rain, hail, and thunder. Weather has really gone a bit bonkers !!

Got a Stereo pro 2011 about 2 weeks ago, only had one proper ride on it so far but am very pleased with it.

Had a Scott Ransom but wanted something a bit lighter for longer rides, it certainly feels a lot lighter when riding it, and the suspension has hardly any bob at all on climbs when pedalling, even without the pro pedal on. Pointing it downhill and again it seems really planted, bottom bracket is low which makes you feel like you are in and not on the bike. Was waiting for a load of pedal strikes but didn’t have any, but as I say have only had one proper ride so far.

The finish is very good, and as you say the spec for the money is fantastic, the only thing I have done is put a shorter stem on and a higher rise bar, the stem in my eye’s is a to long as standard. Also got one of the mudboard guards for the rear shock which keeps a lot of cack off.

So at the moment after about five rides, I am very happy….

If you have any other questions please ask…

Have a look on Gooutdoors, they have a great deal on at the moment for a High Gear Mojave. It is exactly the same as a Gelert Lakesbury which we have, they are huge inside, two bedrooms which are totally separate so you can pull one or both down to have even more space in the day. Have used ours a few times now and can highly recommend it, held out some very heavy rain and had a battering from some strong winds. I think they are on sale for £130 at the moment, very good deal if you ask me…..

Just looked and they have gone up to nearly £200 since last night !!!

I got a 661 Recon last month, very comfy helmet and well vented, I got the white one but changed the peak and little vent on the top for the black versions, bit of contrast in the colour, you can get all the spares from CRC. Did try the Fox Flux on but did not feel as as nice on my head as the Recon did, go and try a few and see what is right for you..

Hi chaps, just a quick thanks from me for the advice and links you posted up, it has been on the diagnostic machine and it is the camshaft sensor as mentioned above, cheers boy’s, now I can go and enjoy some MTB fun over the B H weekend….. 😀

There is a garage locally who has one of the “Snap on” diagnostic machines and knows how to use it. According to some of the threads I have seen on the forums they are supposed to be a very good bit of kit, will be speaking to him first thing in the morning. But will defo start with the cheap option ie sensors, fuel filter first, unless there is something very obvious showing up on the machine. Thanks for the good luck, I think I am going to need it ……

It’s only today that I have ever had this happen and the car has just under half a tank of fuel in it.
So many things it could be, some cheap to fix and some more than the car is worth, seen everything from fuel filters, cam sensor, crank sensor, fuel pump, injectors etc. Going to ring the garage in the morning to try and get it on a proper diagnostic machine to get a code that hopefully means something, but from what some people say they can be misleading and point you towards the wrong thing. My head is spinning…..

Thanks for the quick response guy’s, when it cuts out and stops it does let me turn it over straight away, but does not always start on the first attempt. Have had a look on a few of the forums on various sites, but most seem to mention smoke, noisy rough engine, safe mode and reduced power etc when this happens to them I have none of that. Before and after it restarts it is fine until the next time, so frustrating and on B H weekend ARGHHHH !

The one that will always stay in my mind was in 1999 when we went to watch the Monte Carlo rally. From LLandovery in wales to Gap in France, watched the whole rally including a spin in to Monte Carlo itself, then all the way back home again a few days later, fantastic trip…

Been at a cremation a few years ago and the song played as the coffin went into the flames was the Doors “Come on Baby light my fire”.
His own choice and wish, what a legend he was, wanted people to laugh and not cry at his funeral….

Just got a Coleman Avior x2 from Amazon, about £60 ish on sale, a little bit heavier than the Banshee but has the two doors, front with small porch and also a side door.
Saw one last year in North Wales and looked very well made and light enough to carry, good reviews on the forums I have seen, not used it yet myself but defo worth a look at that price…

I’m about 180 lbs, so the blue which looks to be the medium on the fox set up chart should be ok, thanks Onzadog.
