I’ve just installed a Heta 45 which so far has been really impressive and got a Hunter Herald 8 slimline being installed tomorrow.

We had a cheap ebay special in place before. It looked ok, but the seals we’re crap and it just sucked in air everywhere so it would burn like crazy but put little heat into the room.

For me i’d suggest a proper brand. At least you know it will work and burn efficiently

After the initial burn to get it up to temperature I now have to wait till it’s cooled down enough to touch by hand then re-light it. The suspense is killing me. It’s like Christmas Eve for a 5yesr old

Drive the deal came back more expensive than CarWow. Also CarWow wouldn;t let me put all the optional extras in so not sure how competitive it is

Cheers. Threw some details into CarWow and had one offer back, but more expensive than the offer from the dealer and had the stipulation of taking their finance deal.

I’ll give “Drive the deal” a whirl and see how i get on

Most of my rooms are like building sites with boxes and dust everywhere. Slowly getting there especially now the new woodburners will be installed later this week

I tried the BT ones and after a week of having to do a hard reset on the, everyday I gave up and sent the, back. I went for some of the TP link ones and had them installed since mid June and no issues what so ever

Not mine, but an XL Spesh Enduro frame popped up on eBay today.

At 6’2″ i was riding an older L Enduro but found it a bit small. Just upgraded to an XL Orange Segment and even riding round the garden it feels a hell of a lot better fit

This is the 101 course from last year. If you’re staying near the castle, you could easilly do the first parts up to the boardwalk, and then back down to the observatory and follow the course across the valley and back down to the castle again.

To add, 101 is not running this year, so should be a bit quieter, not that it ever gets crazy busy

For future reference its these ones in case anyone else stumbles across this thread

I thought about it, but having spoke with a friend who challenged and eventually won i couldn’t be bothered.

You can check the bands of houses around you here: http://cti.voa.gov.uk/cti/inits.asp

You can challenge it online. Apparently they reject everysingle one, so be prepared to appeal with solid evidence. As mentioned above, if its an old house split into flats they seem to apply no logic to each flat.

    Good luck

Make sure it’s on a proper wash cycle. Last time I did this it was on eco mode so didn’t shift much

Other option is to diamond grind them away with a cup wheel on a grinder. Surprisingly delicate but will remove the excess and you can use it to remove any old lumps etc.

I looked recently at the cost of a rear XT mecha after finding one still packaged in the shed from several years ago.

I wanted to see if it was worth selling or just keep it for a raining day.
£50+ quid is what they wanted!! Crazy money :o

Theres no way i paid anywher close to that at the time.

It could be true. TNT have been massively affected by the cyber attack over 3 weeks ago and are still not fully back up and running which is why we are currently not using TNT for collections.

The driver should give you a reference number and collection receipt when they turn up. If they don;t, refuse the collection

Do it. If you don’t you’ll always have regret!! Thats what i did. I got an S-Works Roubaix frame from Bikescene and had it built up. My biggest regret is not going DI2 at the time as i wasn’t sure how much i’d ride it.

I made one from a piece of threaded bar. I bought the kit you have above, but found it wasn’t small enough for the Horst Link bearings so i made this after a bit of Googling.

In short, you put in place, used the screwdriver to expand it behind the bearing then use a socket + washers + nut to extract it

    Worked a treat.

I was under the impression everything after the meter is your responsibility.

We had similar the other year with the lead supply to our house. We replaced thee lead ourselves with plastic.

Make sure to ring the billing dept to make sure they know you’ve had a leak as they’ll probably write off the cost. (They did for us)

As i said before its a fantastic day out. Think of it as 5 30mile rides with a food stop after each.

I had a table with cummulative distances and distance between food stops to get me through the low moments taped to my bike.

Also, remember there are 5 climbs in the last 35miles. 4 of which you can spin up easily, the last is a bit steeper but very short (<100m long)

And, don’t be afraid to walk up Hardknott, lots of people will

If you mean the one from Seascale to Whitby, its an awesome day out. I did it this year. Its a fantastic event which is superbly organised and has the best food stops i’ve ever been to.

My longest ride prior was 70miles and i managed it without too much fuss. Just be prepared for Hardknott at the beginning and you’ll be fine

Have a read of this (http://singletrackworld.com/forum/topic/car-digital-wiringtrackworld)

Could it be the same problem? Surely not??

On my old 2.0HDI peugeot mine got to a point where i couldn’t get above 40mph. As you say it had no oomph what so ever. It however was not going into limp home mode and was showing no erros on the dash. even plugging into Peugeot Planet showed nothing.

As others above have said, i assumed the turbo was shot so i started to remove bits from the engine bay to get a better look. As i was removeing all the trim round the back of the engine, i discovered the air intake pipe between the air inbox and turbo had come apart. This meant that air was being sucked in after the MAF sensor so less air was coming across the MAF so it wouldn’t fuel. As soon as i put it all back together and made sure the circlip was tight, it was back to normal.

Could be worth spending half an hour tracing all the pipes on the intake system on both sides of the turbo and intercooler to make sure nothing has come apart or split.

Nothing to loose!! – Good luck

I’ve just started using one on the road bike. Seems to help and stops my jersey sticking to my skin when i get a propper sweat on. Also stops a bit of the chaffing :o

Got an old Raleigh Milk Race and a Rudi Altig. Keep meaning to pop them ebay as they are not being used, but no idea if they are worth anything or better going for scrap

    Thats a bloody bargain.
We’ve been and tried a few out for sizing and fit/feel, but she was hungover so i could have sat her on a goat and she would have been happy.

Its probably the wrong time of year to be picking up bargains on ebay

I’m thinking the Boardman will be the way to go, but they seem to have no stock of the medium left so i assume a new model will be coming out soon.

Depending on whats left on the concrete floor, you could always diamond grind off the grout/tile remnents.

It looks a horrid task to do, but actually its really easy. I’m planning to do it in my bathroom, once i get round to it with my small 125mm grinder

Just make sure you hook it up to a vac otherwise you’ll spend the next 10 years coughing up dust

Perhaps a bit small, but what about a SEAT Exeo estate? Based on the audi a4, it has the same quality but without the price tag. Plus because they didn;t sell that many, the prices are lower than the same age Leon.

I can fit two bikes with just the front wheels off and kit for a week in France all in the back no issue. I’ve done 60k miles in the last 3 years (now at 90k @ 7 years old) and feels as good as it did when i got it.

I watched Bloodline after a recomendation on here. Not sure its worth all the hype. took about 10-12 episodes before anything really happened and even then it was a bit of anti-climax.

I did enjoy Goliath on Amazon though

I’ve got one of these in my orangery – Its crap!!

For the 10 mins it draws properly and puts out heat, the other 30mins of a smoke filled room is just not worth it.

Good work. 8 weeks into mine and we’re still yet to complete a room. Chimney sweep arriving next week so hopefully be able to re-instate the wood burner in the current living room and allow us to move furniture to get into the others

Have a look at the above. So far the easiest way I’ve found to remove them. Fashioned from a piece of threaded bar and and a groove cut such that you can get a screwdriver in to expand behind the bearing. Then use a socket/washers/nut to extract
