You’ll get use to the frame creaking, as even the 2011 models still do it.

Flow, it must be very painful carrying that oversized chip on your shoulder.

    Nice bike BTW.

Avoid San Antonia, apart from the sunset strip which is always the place to be as the sun goes down. San Antonia bay is nice and is only a 5 min boat crossing or a 15 minute walk around the beach front.

Ibiza has some fantastic restaurants and bars which are scattered all over the island,
It’s not like your typical party island as all the cool bars and clubs take a bit of effort to get to.

Try and pick up an Ibiza guide which is published at the beginning of each season and is very comprehensive with regards to locations and events.

Ibiza town is most definitely worth a visit, try and visit here when Pacha or one of the clubs has there main night as it’s quite a spectacle!

My headset is a cane creek z3 I think. I’ll have to check. It’s ok for the price although it does produce an annoying creak every now and again.

D_R: bleed them this way only and make sure you remove the brake from the bike and hang vertically. Also let gravity more displace the air rather than pumping the lever. I guarantee it will work.

My biggest issue is it’s always the rear brake that seems to be at fault. My rear is like Trigger’s broom, I’m on my Third front lever and second caliper. Shimano really needs to address there environmental status as having whole calipers and levers as consumables is ridiculous!

I find getting the best performance is to remove the brake from the bike and bleed it vertically, I always just crack the bleed nut on the caliper and let the oil flow naturally through the system works best.

Mine have just started leaking on the lever near the lever adjustment again!

I’m seriously considering moving over to magura

Not really. I think the claimed weight is 6.7kg, although not light its very stiff and rides a lot lighter. Climbs very well and descends just as good.

My 2009 version weighed under 28lbs without silly light kit.

That’s the 2010 model. The 2011 version is slacker by about 1.5deg and has the 44mm headtube. Other updates include better cable routing and slimmer sear stays.

I’m selling a new medium 2011 in ano grey if your interested :-)

If you need to sell your current house to fund the new house then no you aren’t in a position to proceed.

My house has been on the market for just under a year and have I finally excepted a third offer which means I can complete, that’s not to say I haven’t had a number of persons wasting my time when they aren’t in a position to buy.

If you want to move and you need to realise equity, then stick yours on the market. You never known it might shift quickly.

Can you get into the engineers menu? If so you it’s likely that the exit doors are set as 24hrs – you need to change the parameters back to exit only.

    Try that to begin with.

I was in a black passat.

If I was an electrician dumping waste from a job then I could understand it.

Maybe I just got the Friday’s jobworth!

If it was general trade waste I could understand but a box?!

This is a common problem on the XT/SLX brakes, I have stated before these are a pain in the ass to bleed. Every other brake system I have had have always been a doddle to bleed.

I had the same issue for the first few times, I would bleed from the caliper end till no more bubbles were seen. Everything would be ok then all of a sudden the lever would return to the bar and a few sudden pumps it would harden it up again.

I found if you leave the res cap on and the lever pulled back (isolating the caliper) attach a syringe full of mineral oil to the caliper and crack the bleed nut, then create a vaccum by pulling on the syringe you should be able to remove the trapped air in the caliper

They should make this post a sticky!

if that doesn't work try bleeding using the method below. You can buy the cyclo universal bleed kit from CRC if you don't have one.
