willyFree Memberthankfully i own a fine set of hands with fingers and thumbs attatched and everything!
however it is most definately a major faff compared to a normal seatpost.
all you peolpe who desire a product that last etc… since when was ergonomics such an unconsidered factor when buying something? it seems there are plenty of seatposts that are of the normal kind that are just as good.ive never once been bummed by a normal seatpost no matter how cheap its been, and i ride downhill, and i ride with the seatpost was past the max insert mark regularly (when not riding downhill)
couple of friends have carbon i-beams, theyve snapped the saddle a couple of times, but never the seatpost on dh bikes too.
willyFree Memberi havent, and i have heard and seen the photos of the snow :S booo, if its snowy we will just do scolty. have you got any gpx routes of around banchory anywhere? we want good descents no climbs!
willyFree MemberThis is mine, bought it a few months ago… my first car!!!
check out the DH bike + hardtail i got in the back!!!
got this one for sale too!!!
willyFree Memberjohn drummer and backhander, that was another idea of ours, would love to do some sort of trip maybe starting up north in vancouver or calgary then travel down the rockies via various methods of transport! or similar thing in the andes!
willyFree Memberthought there might be a few 😉 i have manages to get a nice long wheelbase/long forked demo 7 in the back already 😀 but mine has stupid harnesses fitted which are mounted in the back of the rear seats so that gets in the way alot! i also dont have the rear opening windows so cant put the bike rack there 🙁
incognito – you ruined this thread with that 🙁
its not the point about the car being reliable or practical, minis are just ace!willyFree Memberfantastic informations coming in here guys, loving it! definately tempted by the northern region of india and around there…
willyFree Membererm yeah i would, dont think your email is in your profile though? mine is gibbymc@hotmail.com jst fire me an email so i have yours… where abouts are you in aberdeenshire like? i go to uni in aberdeen so will be up there in the next few weeks… love your trip, its jst like something i would want to do, however we would have to find a different way of doing it apart from motorbikes as weve never ridden one lol.
willyFree Membernamestebuzz – i want to do that sooo much mate!! it looks just amazing!!!! neither of us have ever ridden a motorbike though 🙁 please tell me you live in aberdeen!?
willyFree Membernamestebuzz – i would (we both would) loove to do something like that! buy a bike or a 4×4 once out there and do a trip in it, thing is i know very little about mechanics which i think would be a problem as breaking down out there you might be kinda ****? no? i do love that idea though! wild camping where you like and somewhere like nepal doing there?
you ever seen the long way round? (ewan mcgregor and charlie boorman) many ideas and inspiration from that!
quick query but whats paragliding got to do with touring on the bike? lolwillyFree Memberhaha i literally jst suggested that as an idea… trip down the rockies or something… drive, cycle, train etc…
willyFree Memberfire up a photo or link to some (even if its not your own) too if you can, would help give an idea maybe…
willyFree Memberexactly!! theotherjonv, proves my point, i hate that song because of what its on about, usually i dont listen much to the lyrics but that just pees me right off that song, its as bad as her swearing all the way through IMO
willyFree Memberthat zip line is i chatel and looks scary as ****. massive open air swimming pool which looks cool – speedos only mind (no kidding), yeh bobsleigh thing is crap, one in chatel is waay better! walking?
willyFree Memberhere you go… im 20 and as much as i enjoy it, i do find it a bit too much, more the fact that i know a lot of much younger kids are watching this kind of stuff. plus even the lyrics of the songs sometimes, recent song by lilly allen – not fair
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fUYaosyR4bE&feature=avmsc2
i think that is awful that its being played in the charts for anyone to hear when really its pretty dirty.willyFree Memberi wouldnt worry about the passes, they are steep yes! but they arent much bigger than some of the big hills on the c2c… between penrith and stanhope theres a lot of big hills! you can always walk a bit…. hardknott is bloomin steep, but stick it in your granny gear and battle on! 😉 very nice scenery up there too! watched the sunset on hardknott two nights ago with my girlfriend fantastic view… aahh how romantic
willyFree MemberEXCELLENT im moving to ambleside for the summer tomorrow! il be there!
willyFree Memberi left a lovely stane on a tree in galloway forest park one day when i wasnt quick enough to the toilet. i recommend you find that
willyFree Memberwhat an absolute plum that woman was!!! o well have it her way and fail is she wishes, tough sh!t for her… cant say mary didnt try!
also mary reminds me of florence from florence and the machine.
willyFree Membernot a chance a fox walked into the house, through the house up the stairs and attacked said babies on their arm. Some cover up if you ask me… mates dog or something around! not a chance.
As for the babies, they are said to be in a critical condition, with injuries to their arms? wtf? how can you be in a critical condition with arm injuries?
willyFree Memberro you sound like an absolute f*cking w*nker!!!!!!!!!!!!!! like full on c*ck bag!!!
willyFree Memberwasdalehead section = yes pretty much hike a bike down too… you do mean styhead tarn..angle tarn.. down into langdale? if so then deffo go the walna scar road way its a top notch track! one of my favourite descents in the lakes… buttt it will require another two large uphills (one on road) than the other one..
willyFree Memberyeah man! we did that started in troutbeck, did garburn then your route then back awa garburn epic day! such a god descent down nan bield! i shall have my dh rig over in the summer to thrash some of those tracks!
willyFree Membergotta agree with lowey the top aint rideable, ive ridden a long way up but not right to the top, the top section between the summit and the little saddleback between the summit and broag crag is pretty unrideable, but the rest of it is! well sort of… im guessing you just want to go to the top with the bike cos you can kinda thing, thats what i was like but the weather was against me and i had a dh bike.. i rode up from styhead and that as a decent would be excellent! i rode over the bridleway just North of Esk Hause and down to angle tarn, and down rossett gill… from esk hause to the top of rossett gill it was all good, very well surfaced path for walked almost paved/steps.. but the bit which switchbacks down rossett gill is very hard, i managed some of that but a good chunk unrideable snapped my gear cable on it and that was a dh bike… once that track straightens out again its all good! but i would reccomend going down to styhead then either to wasdale or seathwaite both good decents!
willyFree MemberIA – could you explain more, what spec do i need to watch out for then?
willyFree Memberyeh ive found that bending over whilst coughing helps alot! bed time i think il get more cushions and rearrange them at night so i dont roll over. it seems mine isnt as bad as some of you guys as im able to cough all be it in a certain position and i can ride my bike and do general things ok. standing up on the bike is gay as is reaching up etc..
what the heck is Diclofenac?willyFree Memberyou sound like one of them yobbos VassagoJay! all this fighting and drunken antics… im supposed to be racing the Pitfichie SDA in 3 weeks, not sure whether to or not..
willyFree Memberyeh ive got a cold… sneezing and coughing are fun
what will the docs do though if i go? give me painkillers and say rest it no i woudl expect even if it is broken, can they do anything?
VassagoJay i still ride to uni on my bike everyday so shoosh ya big gimp!willyFree Memberbloomin annoying thing is i have a bad cough at the moment… its getting better but its a right pain (hehehaha pun) yeh getting up in the style of a 90yr old provides much entertainment for my girlfriend. laughing and turning over in the night are hard to avoid…..
