I have had 2 bikes from them with no issues at all!

I have had a Giant Defy 3 which was fantastic, I had the official Giant mudguards and it made it hassle free to ride all winter!

Currently have a Defy Composite which is again fantastic but doesn’t have eyelets for mudguards or rack mounts. Comfy for hours on en even with my ever worsening back!

This place isn’t online but have loads of Nintendo and Mario merchandise including t shirts and hats that they import!

I have recently brought a Renault Kangoo van for bike carrying duties, easily swallows 4 bikes and kit with wheels on but only 2 people! I paid £5100 for a 2009 model with 37k on it! Not the best looking van but is doing its job just fine!

We used Pollensa cycling last year, had two Kuota Korsas and a Moser 111 Full Carbon both of which were very nice, the shop now has Kuota Korsa carbons for this year! Very reasonable rates and dropped them off at our hotel and collected them free of charge, seemed quite a laid back guy, there was no arguing over scratches or wear!

We were staying in the Viva Tropic in Alcudia and they had the full Scott range available for hire, if you google Viva cycling thy have quite a few hotels with bike rental/shops!

I have had two defys, fantastic bikes and comfy for someone with a knackered back like me!

On my Virgin TiVo Box it asks me if I want to extend the recording for a 30 mins or 1 hour after the stated finish time in case it runs over being a love event, I normally do 30 mins extra, I missed the last 18km of Milan San Remo because I didn’t select to add any extra time!

Your box should have the same option?

I am 6ft 4 and ride a large trance!

How are they different?

I am 6ft 4″ and have Alura night vision bib longs which are perfect length and DHB bib shorts which are some of the longest bib shorts I have tried, both around £50!

My girlfriend really really suffered on her saddle that came with her Giant Avail so we tried a specialised xc men’s saddle off a friend but same problem, then we tried a fizik gobi which rubbed the skin of her tailbone!

Eventually we went to the specialised concept store and had her ass measured and got a women’s specific road saddle and it is amazing according to her, no pain at all, it has a massive cut out down the middle and at the back, it was £80 though!

Shorts wise she uses altura padded shorts!

Does anyone else have any experience of road night riding?

Thanks again for all the sensible replies! I will look into the Canyons in more detail and start doing a bit of research. I have a Giant/Specialised dealer and a Specialised concept store local to me so Ian going to arrange a few test rides, outbid interest how long do these usually last? 1 hour? Half a day? I have never ridden any other road bike other than my current Giant Defy so I am interested in if I can feel the difference in the frame material and components!

Can I ask a rather stupid question, a lot has been mentioned about wheels, apart from being lighter and stronger what else is to be gained from more expensive/better wheels?

I love my defy I have a the minute! I only ride with my brother and a few mates but want to join the local road club and begin riding a lot more, I was leaning towards the Giant TCR as I wouldn’t mind eventually doing some sportives and local races. is this the right choice of type of bike?

Would I notice much difference getting the Giant Defy Composite?

I do really like the look of the Canyons but don’t think I have the neck to take it to a bike shop to get it set up correctly!

I know not a thing about which groupset is best or which wheels are the most highly rated and I intend to keep it that way, hence I asked for othe people’s opinions , you cynical old bastard :D

Why Crikey?

On a similiar note I have been looking at getting a Citroen Nemo/Peugeot Bipper for carrying my bikes due to the high MPG and cheap road tax but after looking at them I am unsure if you could actually fit a bike in the back!

Anyone had any experiance with them?

Ideally i dont want to be removing both wheels, front would be fine and I could get one of the floor mounted racks to attach the forks to!

Quite like the look of the specialised p series and the dmr’s look good!

Only want one to mess around on pump tracks and local dirt jumps, looks fun though!
