Yep – it’s the one that @dawson posted. Even if it just gets me through this pile of wood it’s £46 well spent.

Ok, so was skeptical, but had some (much bigger than 4-6″) hardwood rounds to get through and the bow saw was struggling. For £46 thought worth a punt and it has flown through the lot (I used makita 5ah batteries while the new ones are charing). This will be coming scavenging with me.

About 20 years ago, after two very near misses and many sleepless nights following nearby new build and motorway developments that drained into the system directly adjacent our childhood home, my parents quickly and decisively opted to up sticks. The whole village has since flooded. I remember this being a very stressful couple of years, and it ultimately came down to the risk of an uninsurable and ultimately unsellable property being too great. I’m not sure this is much help other than perhaps validation for your worries and some consolation in that there are many many others experiencing this total shitshow.

Yes – sorry I wasn’t clear. If you go down the informal route, you are best presenting as a done deal at the end to the orgs. They are bound to fundraise within some pretty tight guidelines.

The charity/charities should be able to make this easy for you, with access to tools (and their licence). Charities have access to tools like rally up: http://rallyup.com That’s the ‘proper way’ Or go down WCA’s route, but if you ask the orgs you are supporting if that’s ok they’ll find it hard to turn a blind eye.

I’d be looking to turn all that into one big cupboard, washing machine on floor to right, 2 vertical compartments to left to fit hoover and airer respectively, small length of worktop above washer (for laundry basket), then shelves above, as you’ve done. Not sure you can build out forwards though because of sink to left? Ironing board on hooks to back of bathroom door, or even back of cupboard door if you’ve the space.

Hi all – does anyone want to swap their XL trig frame for my as new L? I’m right between the two sizes and after a few longer rides would prefer the XL.

Tried to cycle around it back in 2011, taking the the internal road (F35) cross country in Mid June. Snow meant road North was shut. Tried anti-clockwise to give snow chance to melt. Volcano erupted and ash in the air made riding (breathing) horrible/impossible. Front hub collapsed. Great couple of weeks though. Go for it, but be flexible. Wind is a thing as others have said.6031580899_3ef5f01eba_o6031581167_5d01e27133_o6032139394_f5a6b26715_o

I used an apple corer to make a hole in rimpact inserts, which I align with valves, never had any issues.

Hahaha! Sorry, been enjoying our holiday. The bike made it back to us and was dumped in the drive while we were out on Saturday. No clues where it’s been. Have asked wiggle to rebook courier, have got a box this time, but it’s been 4 days since I emailed. Patience and meditation seem to be the order of business here. Hoping we can get the issue sorted asap… thanks for all the suggestions! This is all taking faaaaaar too long.

OP, it being in a bag will probably work in your favour if it’s in goods on hold as it’ll be obviously not a random box among thousands. In any event, if wiggle told you to send it like that that’s their issue, not yours. I’m not saying it’s your fault, I’m saying I wouldn’t do it again.

Thanks @dangeourbrain – noted, and appreciated. There’s also identifiable stuff in the bag – warranty number/info, destination and return address should it come to anyone actually taking a look.

    @matt_outandabout
    – cheers, I’ll recalibrate!

I don’t have any tracking info! Just emails from Wiggle confirm company and time. The guy arrived, attached sticker, said cheerio and toddled off down the drive.

Ok, so we have apportioned blame to me for using a bike bag, despite Wiggle stating this would be preferable method of packaging in correspondence prior to the collection. Thanks! However the questions I asked were:

Anyone had similar? If so, how have you managed to ignite some urgency? What was the outcome? Anything you’d do differently? Any tips?

I can be patient up to a point, and understand that the courier will need to do their own research, but we’re back end of week 3 here and my 11 year old son really really wants to ride his bike.

Re bag – have posted bikes in bags before, better protected, more convenient, less waste, less faff, easier to handle. I recommend it. Wiggle agreed to return bike in bag following assessment by warranty dept. The bike is 9 months old and going back to them – as above.

I guess they’re waiting on the courier then. Thanks!

Good point re. courier – Wiggle organised the courier.

It’s just crap that an otherwise ok bike is let down so badly by such a simple/obvious oversight. Your experience is identical to ours @troutwrestler. With a hanger alignment tool and new hanger fitted you should be able to see if your frame is straight – great advice from @nixie further up this thread.

Update time… wiggle sent courier to collect bike on the 25th July with a commitment to a 2 week turnaround – Yay. It’s school summer hols and I overlooked that eldest might want to ride his bike a lot – Boo.
Chased wiggle on Friday as not heard anything and got an email today saying the bike never made it to their warehouse – Boo.
And that it will be 2 weeks from when they receive the bike to a resolution – Boo.
And we’ve a holiday planned with loads of riding starting next week – Boo.

Revel Rail 27.5? Really enjoying mine, set up MX/Mullet but works well as a mini DH/park bike at 27.5. I’m switching between 35 and 50mm stems depending on what I’m riding.

Ok – so using a pretty hefty park tool, the alignment seems to be about 15mm out at the wheel, with new hanger fitted. Is this within normal tolerances? Explains why indexing has always been a headache. I have ‘adjusted’ brand new hanger so that we’re aligned, which of course weakens it. Fitment seems poor.

Ah – good shout, to check frame alignment. I’ll see if I can borrow a tool and see where we’re at… I had an affirming 30 mins on web chat with CRC – “try a CNC hanger” and “not a known issue” and “no we won’t replace the hanger under warranty” and “if you want to return the bike, fill out this form”. Bit nervous about the last one as there’s a lot of unpicking with upgraded parts now…

I’m a little heavier than you – 95kg, running about 95 psi with 2 tokens, no HSC and ‘a few clicks’ (would need to check) of LSC. These are 160mm forks. Set up for Stainburn (take off some LSC there), Yearsley, Kilburn – more enduro-y type stuff.

I’ve had to dismantle the covid infinity pond to make way for a kitchen extension. Not very happy about that. Kept the, plants, liner and pump and we have tons of stone and the wood from the original project so hoping to create a new pond somewhere soon. This thread is great – inspiring stuff, and lovely to see the early projects maturing.

Forgot about that bit. It’s brilliant. You’ve just got to aim for a rut and hope it catches. This one doesn’t in the wet.

2 weeks in Morzine got our 10 and 6 yr olds hooked. Then more recently fun trips to Grenoside, chicksands, and bringing the eldest on fun grown ups rides. They get hyped on Matt Jones, Jono Jones and Bernard Kerr YouTube stuff. We have deliberately swerved the structure of clubs. 10yr old is now 11 and is doing his first dh race in a couple of weeks.

Did alright in an enduro race wearing trousers… was faster than in practice, where I wore shorts.
