Viking biking for sure. There’s a longer version on the Red Bull site, with a the making of section tagged on the end.

I’m a long term lover of Maguras, having had a set of Louise FRs for a long time, then after various Shimano sets and a recent very brief flirtation with some Hopes, I’ve recently gone back to Magura and I’m utterly satisfied with my MT7 Pros and 203/180mm Storm rotors. I’ve never had any trouble with the hoses or bleeding Maguras either, and they almost never need doing, in my experience. I also love the lever shape and really direct feel, but that’s totally subjective.

I understand peoples’ dislike for the “plastic” elements but as an engineer that designs and utilises reinforced plastic parts extensively in my day job I have no qualms. I’ve never tried Curas so couldn’t comment on them but I thoroughly recommend Maguras.

I just got a 2021 Stage Evo LE a week ago. Only ridden it once but I’m very impressed. I’m 5′ 10″ and chose a large and it fits perfectly.
I’ve had several full sus bikes before but this is my first with 29″ wheels and progressive geo; I’m sold. I wanted a single pivot again, after loving my SC Superlight back in the early 2000s.
I managed to snag mine at a bargain 26% discount. Wouldn’t have paid full price for it. Second ride tomorrow!

    No…

Look at the business model of AMC, what industry its operating in and what its historic value is.

Long term it’ll drop back to $10

AMC is no longer a fundamental play, it’s a short squeeze play. Their share price isn’t based on it’s fundamental value, it’s purely psychological. Having said that, their fundamentals are better than ever and they’re growing very healthily.

I’m not telling anyone to buy anything, I’m just trying to raise awareness. That being said, $40 is cheap, if you believe that the price could potentially go to 4, 5, maybe 6 figures if/when it squeezes. Do your own research and make up your own minds.

AMC is very different, retail investors (the so-called “apes”) own 80% of the float, with institutions holding the rest. ORTEX data shows the short interest is now over 20% with 105 million or so shares short and those are only the ones we can see. 60%+ volume is routed via dark pools, naked shorting has been rife, there are an unknown amount of synthetic short shares as well as the 105 million that will need to be covered. If the apes continue their “buy and hold” strategy the shorts won’t be able to cover until the apes decide to sell, pushing the price higher and higher, along with gamma squeezes (on the most highly traded derivatives (call and put options) in the market) and FOMO… I’m starting to justify it when I said I wouldn’t!

Even if you aren’t interested in putting any money into it it’s very interesting and will likely go down in history.

I don’t mean to crash the RR and airline sector party but I feel compelled to say the only thing worth investing in at the moment is AMC. Get in now before the mother of all short squeezes (MOASS) happens without you. I’m not going to justify this opinion, as there is so much information already available online to justify it. I have been “all in” on AMC since late May, having made reasonable money on the likes of Moderna, Bionano Genomics and others (not RR!) in the past. This is more than an investment, it’s a movement to level the playing field and bring the hedgefunds and market makers down.

Down here in deepest Surrey we had the 6 chinooks with another 6-7 choppers fly over this afternoon heading south. Quite a noise from the Chinooks.

They went right over my workplace, in Guildford, setting several car alarms off!

My S7 got the Android Oreo update last week, don’t seem to have lost anything but I too don’t use the secure folder.

If I was to do it all again I’d just get a professional third party to do the printing

There are a few good subcontractors out there which can do plastics in FDM, SLS, SLA etc and metallics in SLM or DMLS. Have a look at 3TRPD or CRDM, they’re the ones we use for production parts, at work. 3TRPD have an online quoting tool so you can upload your part file and it’ll tell you how much it’ll cost. SLM and DMLS are expensive.

At work we’ve got a Stratasys Dimension Elite which I might use for homers, very occasionally :o)

Any clues as to how it’s revolutionary, for inspiration?

How about Revolutionary, Revolution, Revocab, Cabolution, Revolutinet???

I use it in my Seat Leon, with my Samsung S7. It works fine, doesn’t always automatically link up but it’s only a couple of taps to correct that.

I use Google Maps and Amazon Music the most, along with phone calls and it can read WhatsApp messages and take replies by voice. Noticed the other day that Plex works too so I should be able to stream stuff from my NAS at home too.

Biggest negative for me is that you can’t play anything stored on the phone’s SD card via USB or Bluetooth whilst Android Auto is connected.

Yeah, thanks. I got them TFTuned and got some new decals made up for them, silver and orange, naturally, whilst waiting for the frame.

Yeah, got the orange Hope seat clamp to go with the orange highlights on the decals. Thinking about getting the adjuster on my forks re-anodised orange too!

Still need to put the chain on, shorten the rear brake hose and fettle. That’ll have to wait though, can’t remember who borrowed my chain splitter and have run out of olives and barb thingies!

    Soen – Lykaia

    Caligula’s Horse – In Contact

Not so big but defo a fast estate:

    8 bhp/ton more than a Golf R and £5k cheaper. Love it.

New BFe26s are still on the boat, which is due to dock this weekend. We should start seeing them towards the end of next week or the week after, according to the latest update.

I recently changed from a 63 Focus ST (after a succession of Fords) to a 17 Seat Leon Cupra 290 DSG estate, having looked at and driven a Golf R or two.

There is pretty much no difference in the quality between all three cars. There are aspects of the Focus that I’d say were better quality than either the Leon or the Golf.

Anyone that pays the £5-7k premium for a comparible Golf R is just in it for the badge or the aesthetics in my opinion. In real world (not track days) driving the Leon is just as good, if not better. However, if I’d not really wanted an auto I’d have got a newer ST estate.

Me too, tummy bugs suck. Can’t sleep so catching up on Handmaid’s Tale, trying not to stress-out about our house move and thinking about when my BFe26 might arrive…

Picking this up on Saturday. It is my 40th in March so I will be officially too old for my manual Focus ST. Now I’ll have this rather gorgeous Leon Cupra 290 DSG:

    Can’t contain my excitement!

Moana is the definite favourite in our house at the moment. My 4yo is singing along to the soundtrack pretty much word for word, whilst eating her toast!

I always thought it was funny that one of my favourite songs (Semi-charmed Life, by Third Eye Blind) was used in the trailer for The Tigger Movie, even though it’s all about drugs and sex!

I’ve used Scosche magnetic mounts for years and recently integrated one into a 3D printed cradle, along with the innards of a wireless charging pad. No issues whatsoever. I just plonk the phone into the cradle and starts charging. If the magnet was going to interfere with anything it would be inductive charging?

I’d be surprised if any phones used a magnetic compass, surely they get the compass bearing from the GPS?

I use Google Maps on my phone for all my sat nav too.

Costco ones are great; big and have a layer of frangipane on top of the mince meat. Cheap too.

We’ve been using a TP-Link 4G router for the last two years. Got a good deal from EE, 50GB for £25 a month and it’s been great, except that it’s limited. There aren’t any unlimited 4G data only SIM deals. We’ll probably be moving to fibre so that we can go unlimited but if you can live with limited 4G is an option.

four lights = 84w and divide by 240 to give you the fuse amperage (.35A).
Anyway , unless you’ve got loads of lights then a 3 amp fuse will do the job.

Even then a 1A is plenty.

    willej
    Full Member

    P/V=A
    21/240=0.0875
    =87.5mA

The smallest fuse for a mains plug is 1A so use that. A fuse isn’t just there to protect the wiring, it’s to limit the current that can be drawn if there is a fault. A 1A (240W) spark is less dangerous than a 3A (720W) spark.

Your dentists may well be good dentists but clenching and grinding is not something that’s very well understood by all dentists. Your problem may not be clenching or grinding but with ruling out?

    willej
    Full Member

Yes, try another dentist. I clench at night, which was causing daily headaches and numbness in my face. This has all but disappeard since I went to a dentist that is a clenching and grinding expert. I’ve got an NTI splint that goes on my top front teeth and stops me biting down fully and a “slider” that fits over my bottom teeth and allows the splint to slide, rather that me grinding a groove into it.

Do you clench and/or grind your teeth in your sleep?
