I’d look into party wall legislation. I believe that if your neighbour is negligent or wreckless and these actions cause damage to your house, he can be liable for the repair bill. Proving he was negligent/wreckless is a case of advising him of the problem and taking it from there. I might be wrong tho, but had a similar experience in a flat that flooded and was damaged by a neighbours burst pipe – in that case there was no negligence , hence no claim. But had the neighbour knew there was a problem and ignored it, and then the flood happened he would have been liable

You could probably get a structural engineers report stating the steel is adequate then an indemnity policy. I’m sure there are time scales for local authorities to pursue breaches and 10 years will be way beyond any they have to abide by. I’d also ask your conveyencing solicitor for advise. Personally don’t think it’s a huge issue.

Thanks for the replies. Can I effectively run a thermostatic shower off a cylinder or would I need electric showers? Not a fan of electric showers,

I recently purchased one. Tested it on the landing – which is carpeted, immediately after running Henry over the area. I was amazed how much crap it got up after Henry

Does anyone know where this was? Only reason I ask is because I was walking up Deansgate in Manchester on Wednesday and I nearly got mullered by a self righteous prick on a bike, and I instantly recognised him. Couldnt work out where from until i saw this video again – im sure it was him. A very angry middle aged man who thinks he has to portray ‘the hardman’ so he doesn’t loose face.

i did something similar but in my upper back/shoulder girdle – i.e. trapped nerve, it was the worst pain i’ve ever felt, to the point where I had no choice but to go to A&E. (and im not one for going to hospital). The doc gave me Tramadol, Diazepam and Naproxen for a week. It was a powerful combo but worked a treat and it just went right on its own. The tramadol was for pain, the naproxen reduced inflammation and the diazepam helped relax the muscles in the shoulder area.

Be careful tho, i took this combo for 7 days and when i stopped (ran out) I felt terrible – really depressed and moody, but I guess thats the price you pay.

As I understood it any modifications to existing circuits had to be carried out by a competent person and then the work needs to be certified. I don’t think you can certify unless you are part p qualified and NICEIC registered, unless you do the work (to regs) and get the local authority to inspect and issue cert, but that would most likely be more expensive than just getting a spark in.

I believe as transition lenses go, the Oakley ones are very good however the problem with such lenses in general is that they darken very quickly (good thing) but take a little while to clear again (not a good thing) – for example presents a problem when riding from wide open spaces to enclosed wooded areas on bright days.

Depends how patient u are and if u have access to the ‘full’ service vids n docs. I’d attempt it, but I’m happy to risk it not working out. I still think it would work out cheaper to buy the kits n tools than the cost of a single service. Plus you’ll be able to do others for mates etc – once you’ve done one you’re away. Bike tech really ain’t that complex. Unless you’re talking about indexing the gears on my road bike – lol but that’s another story.

Do NOT bother with a 125. U will learn loads of bad habits . Do a direct access with a reputable bike school – in NW I highly recommend Valley Bike School. I fid mine 3 months ago from never riding a motorbike and not looked back. I picked up an 07 SV650S and it s a good first bike and cost be 2k with 10k on the clock. Direct access cost be 700 quid all in.

You could paint with Cementone Aquaprufe – 3 coats painted on in alternate directions. Whilst the last coat is wet blind it off with plasterers sand (throw sand at it) it can then be painted with any colour paint you want as the sand will give it a key for the coloured paint of your choice. You will need a few coats of paint to cover the black bitumenous paint but it does work and is fairly cheap.

Two car drivers saw what happened and stopped and spoke to the police and were both of the same very strong opinion that the pedestrian was unequivocally at fault – not that that helps the poor sod with his head injuries.

Just to clarify – cyclist shouted stop but was it was already too late. The impact wasn’t huge, but because of the way he fell and tangled in his bike he has come off very badly, ie life changingly bad. The woman’s injuries are very very minor and indicate the low force of impact. Nothing cyclist could have done.

If the public knew the number of police officers on duty at any one time in their area they would be amazed. An indvidual copper can only deal with a certain volume of crime, once all 4 or 5 officers are saturated, where do u turn?

    I asked this

Hi there – bike looks amazing, a real rarity to see something like this come on to the market.

I would really like to buy it but i’m worried that I will graze my knees or elbows if I fall off it. Would you be willing to include some safety pads and a motorcycle crash helmet to keep me safe if I ‘Buy It Now’?

    Thanks

    He replied with this

Hello the bicycle is extremely fast and you’re a very smart person to be worried about falling from this bike while riding it, by accidently falling from this bike with its incredible speed that is can easily make it will be as if falling down from a motorbike.

Health and Safety is my main concern above all and I certainly don’t want my customers getting hurt as of it I can buy the protective gear to protect you if you ever fall down, OK as a jester of good will.
The protective gear will be for your arms, keens, and most importantly for your head, the head gear will be a motorbike helmet, better than a bicycle helmet to give you 100% full protection.

If you have any more questions than please feel free to contact me anytime about anything on regarding the item, I’ll be more than happy to answer all your questions as quickly, clearly and simply as I can.

    Many Thanks.

Not trolling – maybe clueless, but I prefer to maintain a sense of perspective. There are more important things to worry about, global economic crisis, raging civil wars that threaten to erupt into all out chaos, being diagnosed with a life changing illness – where as a gate being propped open…… Just makes me wonder why people get sooooo pissed off. Its JUST A **** GATE.

I’m at a total loss as to how you can stop this happening. If you secure them so well that they cant cut them free, they just saw through the frames and strip the parts.

Beginning to think the only way is a vault within your garage.
