mmmm that all sounds above my technical levels!! Is there an easy way to get a decent tune as a ringtone instead of the crap that they provide?

    Thanks tbc and MT.

Looks like I will have to have one. Trev was it the carbon or alloy one? Was it a demo day at Lee Quarry? I am only 15 mins away I could have nipped over if it was. Cheers

That looks like the turn off just passed the Robin Hood on ther other side of the road (near the garages you mention). If you drop down the first section then go right over the little bridge it brings you out at the toilets near the car park for Hardcastle crags.

Ground anchor and chain from Pragmasis. Pretty expensive but guaranteed unbolt cropable. There was a test recently in WMB and it was the best chain on test, took two grinding discs to get through a link.

I reckon £2k on a frame and £400 on a shock is about right!!

£25 sounds like a good deal to me if you are thinking of spending a couple of grand on a bike. I have known people in the past who have booked a Demo bike just so they can have a decent bike for a local race. That is not right in my book. Most places refund the money if you buy from them. I wonder how many people demo a bike and not buy it? Any statistics anywhere? I guess a lot of people buy on looks alone.

Sorry to hear it Ton . Seems to be a lot of it about at the moment – **** scrotes.

Please find it asap so I can have my forks!

I am running 120mm forks on a frame corrected for 100mm and to be honest it feels better with the 120mm on. A bit more sag and it should be fine.

I have heard of this quite a bit lately. As soon as the buyer leaves positive feedback you will get your money or they will have to return the bike to you. Another crappy way to help buyers and bollox to the sellers yet again!!

    Yes will work fine.

Cycleops fluid 2. Smooth and quiet.

I bought one about 3 weeks ago and it is great. As said above if you only have a short time where you wouldn't normaly go out you can blast 30 mins off no problem. Get it in front of the TV with a drink and a towel!

I bought one of these last week and it is fantastic. I had a turbo a few years back and it was crap but these things have come on a lot. The Cycleops Fluid 2 is both quiet and smooth so should be fine in an appartment. I use my road bike on it so your wheels will be fine. I cannot recommend it enough – I can't keep off it!! I also bought a front wheel block.

Hebden would be nice if there were any Yorkshire folks still living there!! But it would still never match Tod.

It's not only the waiting for them to warm up. They just don't give as much light off as a conventional bulb of the equivalent wattage.

I sent a full bike to some scrote a year ago and he said it never arrived even though I had seven documents tracking it and even his signature on!! Paypal stole the money off me and gave it him back. £600!! I was gutted. I have since been told and never thought at the time to report it to the police as a theft. But you are right there needs to be a safe alternative for sellers.

Cheers oldgit. Can I just put a full new crank on then? The one I have has had little use so could just sell that to offset the cost.
