This can happen in cold weather the pawls freeze. I had it happen on a night ride once and people say to pi$$ on the freehub – it worked for me.

Had it done about 10 years ago – best thing I ever did.

I used to suffer from cold feet whilst riding then I bought the Shimano Gortex boots – MW80 (I think) teamed up with Icebreaker socks and the cold never bothered me again.

I have done this and Paypal don’t help. You have to email the person you sent it to and hope that they will refund you or hope that the account has not been used for a while and after 30 days you can claim it back – I think that was how it was.

Well, that taught me……a 2 day ban. You can imagine how devastated I have been (not)!! Just for stating the obvious about certain members.

She has shown an interest in photography and uses her Sony compact quite a lot. She is very good at art and is creative so it looks like a good option for her to follow up. She says the SLR’s are too big but I want to get her something better than a standard compact. Thanks for the info.

I only did two laps!! Just bought a new mech with ‘proper’ wheels in, almost as cheap as buying new wheels.

If it’s for the local authority then the job description is usually changed to suit someone who already works for them. Outsiders often get interviews but the job is already earmarked for someone internally but they have to go through the motions – wrong but it definitely goes on.

That £40k sounds like one of those bullshit made up figures. The admin staff are suerly there for that kind of work and will be earning no where near that!! If no one is being excluded the admin staff still get paid anyway so that £40k figure would be banded about for some other cause that needs ‘admin’ staff. Once again a load of corporate bullshit.

Hope it gets sorted for the kid, it can’t be a nice situation.

There were many other motorcyclists in 'civy' clothing that were doing the same job. Surely more of these could be used? It was just an observation after watching my first road race that's all. All I ever hear about from the police is how overstretched they are nowadays. Not only bikes but there were loads of Police 4×4's, just seemed very ott to me. Sorry mate!!
