Erm dunno about that dickster, I think you’re thinking of the crap remix that was released. The album version is far cleaner with none of that ‘err you can’ nonsense, or the unnecessary baseline in the verses 🙂

Am I the only one who thought Chris Ashton knocked on while scoring a try against Quins this weekend? I only saw it on the ITV highlights last night and they showed it at least three times and not once did the commentators mention it. I thought he clearly knocked it on before grounding

My Dad taught me how to fix things. He was a proper ‘Don’t worry, Dad will fix it’ character. He could fix anything from bikes, vehicles, plumbing, electrics, building work, garden stuff despite having no training or qualifications in any of it. Now I am that person to my family, I am slowly becoming my Dad for which I am extremely proud

I spent years regretting splitting up with an ex. we’d been together for 5 years and were engaged. I finished it because I really fancied another girl and let my desires get the better of me. I didn’t want to go behind my fiancees back so I left her and shacked up with this new piece. So, my new piece turned out to be a complete **** and by the time I realised this and dumped her there was now way I could work things out with my ex-fiancee.

It took years of guilt and self-loathing before it dawned on me that I wouldn’t have left her in the first place if staying with her was the right thing to do. Now I’m very happily married with two brilliant kids and it turns out twatfink did me a favour by coming along and stopping me marrying someone who I really shouldn’t have married.

To summarise, she’s your ex for a reason, you’re feeling a bit lonely, stop bl88dy thinking about her, crack one off and go for a ride 😀

    Who’s Gary Owen? 😀

On Haskell – tripping is an embarassment to the team, for that reason alone I think he should be completely dropped! One good half against Wales, then a pretty average 6N culminating in that trip. Tosser.

I reckon someone recorded him admitting he used to fix England games and was asked to go gracefully or face the music 😀

That is indeed about the worst news Italy could have. At least they’ve got Castro back, Bergamasco can do a job (when he’s at 7, anyone remember when they had him at 9??) and Vunisa is no mug either. Still got Wales by 20 though.

Parling in for Attwood. Both good players, although I think Parling may be a little more disciplined and stay behind the back foot at rucks a little more often.

    Classic quote from Robshaw :

“This time we need to make sure that we play the game on Saturday at 5pm and making sure we get that right is a big thing for us”

😀 perhaps they should play it at 3pm when there are no French players on the pitch, might rack up a few more points.

We had an American Football linebacker play a few games for us. He started in the 2nd row but was frustrated as he wasn’t getting many tackles in. So we gave him a run-out at 8 in the seconds. Jesus christ that boy could tackle, he was huge and could move too, he was single-handedly mullering the entire opposition. For about 15 minutes. After that the constant getting back on your feet to make another tackle finished him off.

Tough guy though, he was on a firefighter exchange program with one of our guys. He might not have had the fitness but with a little work he would have been outstanding.

Okay, on the large-ish assumption that this isn’t a troll, and you are nearing the age mentioned above (54) then surely you’ve learnt by now the key to anything in life – Just. Be. Yourself.

I thought that as he was announcing it. When Ben Youngs came up on the screen Brian Moore paused for ages and had to change his tack mid-sentence. To be fair that’s not like him he would normally just say whatever he was thinking

We would always expect incidents in any game, especially as raking out tacklers on the wrong side of the ball was allowed then. Grass-roots rugby at adult age is far-removed from the stereotypical public schoolboy image. However, almost all games were played with tremendous sportsmanship and team spirit, and you never make a friend quite like the ones you have played rugby with 😉

In our old adult ‘grass-roots’ league, Gloucester 2, a local team called Tredworth had a fearsome (and deserved) reputation for bringing violence to the pitch. They also had a violent set of travelling fans that would get involved if anyone stood up to their abuse. Most normally bouyant clubs would struggle to raise a 1st XV on the league weekends when it was a Tredworth game.

In fact my last ever game was against Tredworth I came off after 60 minutes exhausted and smashed up. Crap way to end playing a game I absolutely love.

They folded last year thankfully, and the local leagues collectively breathed a sigh of relief, even though it was actually a shame as the club was 110 years old and wasn’t always that way

EDIT: You didn’t wanna run the touch-line at a Tredworth home game I can tell you.

So you built it up in the kitchen, sat on it, it didn’t feel right, dismantled it and swapped it for a new Orange 5 with Stif? Did they just take it back as new or did you have to pay for the privilege of putting bits on it? Just curious really, fairplay, if you’re spending that much money its gotta be right! 🙂

I get that every time I go from my BMX to my FS, it feels absolutely terrible for about 5 minutes, like a bouncy barge that won’t go along when you pedal and won’t turn a corner. Soon get used to it though.

Back on topic, I’m looking forward to seeing Lawes level a few people tomorrow. Just hope he doesn’t lose the ball in contact too many times…

I wouldn’t let any of the England squad have pudding unless they helped to tidy the pitch up after the game – take down post pads and corner flags, tamp down any grass scuffed up from scrummaging etc.

    Ha ha excellent!

I used to have a bit of a battle getting my daughter to come out of the bath at bathtime when she was about 2. So I used to pull the plug out and and tell her that if she didn’t come out she’d go down the plughole. It worked. By ‘eck it worked. For months she was petrified of the plug and plughole. It was about a year later that she finally believed that she couldn’t possibly go down the plughole. 😕

My SLX don’t need any pumping ever, no matter how they are used, they’re pin sharp and there’s hardly any movement before they start biting. I’m using slx 6-bolt rotors, not that the mounting method matters. They may not have been bled properly. Also, if they have been bled properly you can cheat them into biting sooner by taking out your wheels, gently pumping the lever to move the pads out a bit, then putting the wheels back in. This really works, and I’ve done it with both SLX and Deore with great results.

Let us know your thoughts Marin, I’m considering one when I change my Blur LTc. Can’t afford a high-fallutin’ carbon VPP bike any more unfortunately, but love the look of the Heckler 650B

So there is, thanks for that. Although I’ve just seen some KS Levs on the German sites brand new for around £180, I think I may just go for one of those now!
