You mention the Blur LT in the original thread, you could do far worse than one of those. I have the LTc and it is awesome on DH stuff, I’m running it with 160 Pikes. I’ve also installed offset bushings to slacken it off a little and the difference was very noticeable. It also pedals extremely well, a superb all rounder

When you do finally manage to get it downloaded I hope you have plenty of spare time to play the game. One of the reasons I gave up on it was because I just haven’t got the free time to get absorbed in the game and do it justice

Forgot about this thread. I bought the deal I mentioned in my original post. Played The Witcher 3 for a couple of months, and while there’s no doubt its an outstanding game set in an amazingly detailed world I’ve given up on it for now. Enjoying Forza Horizon 2 and Destiny far more at the moment

There’s brand new ex-display Anthem X2 27.5 for 1300 and an Anthem X1 29 for 1400 on a very popular auction site at the moment if the XC end of things is more your bag. They are actually from Planet Bike in Barnstaple, so a genuine dealer

I’m just shy of 6’1 and ride a large LTc. Its definitely on the short side and after messing around with different stems and posts I now run an 80mm stem and a KS Dropzone dropper post with about 20mm layback. I’ve been riding it for 2.5 years now and its just about right set like that. Longest ride I’ve done was 5.5 hours and was comfortable all the way round. Like you I’m more back/arms and shortish legs.

My next bike will definitely have a longer TT so I can run a shorter stem and have more dropper post options, but the LTc is great for now, and is brilliant to ride

Like when they vote off the idiots on a reality TV program – makes for far less interesting viewing after – you’ll miss him really! 😉

I’ve been a bit of a tool. My mate in fact has the 2012/13 26″ Mojo HD, with 160mm rear wheel travel. Not sure exactly which model this is, or even how it compares to the latest HDR so my post above may be null and void 🙁

Sounds like bad luck there boobs. A mate of mine has a 26″ running 160mm front and back, has had it for approximately 3 years and has ridden it 3 or 4 times per week ever since he’s had it. He is phenomenally fast, hits huge gaps and drops and spent 6 months with it in Canada including the hardest lines at Whistler. The Mojo has taken it all in its stride, only needing one set of bearings. He had an SB66 before that went through bearings/shock pivots every couple of weeks the amount he rode it and then the chainstay snapped on a relatively small jump

The Witcher 3 finally sold the Xbox One to me. Played it on and off for about a month, but in the end it just overwhelmed me with the amount of stuff to do and although a superb game with an amazing game world, I just didn’t find it that much fun to play. Now I’m hooked on Forza Horizon 2, awesome game

In answer to the original question – confidence in my ability. This has taken me over gaps I previously only looked at and thought ‘**** that’. To me it’s been priceless.

No MTFU involved, that’s just BS FFS! Its about knowing you have the skill to do something safely.

For me its about breaking bad habits and figuring out the difference between needing and wanting to eat. Me and Mrs Wilko are going through this process after both steadily gaining weight for about the last year. Its basically a big test of will-power and getting used to feeling hungry for longer.

We have a ‘fat club’ style weekly weigh-in the same time very Sunday morning. We’re both very competitive and the fact that she did better than me last week has really spurned me on this week. Eat less, move more is our simplistic view on it and so far its serving us quite well

Yeah in that sentence he probably just means ‘for sale is my Yeti SB66c with a medium frame’

My spidey sense isn’t tingling for some reason, just a crap advert for an expensive bike. IMO!

😀 thanks some more great ideas! We’ve got a 10ft trampoline at the back of the garden, perhaps I’ll drag that over 😀

Thanks, a movable aluminium tower is something we’d discussed but it would only work for one of the windows due to the layout of the garden. I’d need a full blown scaffolding install for the back of the house. Or a ladder.

Yeah that’s got to be a build problem. There is NOTHING on the Monkey at Cannock that should put a Flow anywhere near through its paces FFS. You’ve got to be trolling I Ache.

40 and improving all the time. What I want to know is when will I stop being able to get better? I’m doing bigger gaps, higher drops than ever and am constantly trying to go bigger. How long have I got before I’m maxxed out and have to start winding it in?!

Well, anyone on tenterhooks wondering what could possibly be the cause of this intriguing and baffling mystery can rest easy now. One of the pads was rubbing very lightly on the disc, causing it to whine like bruneeps wife. A simple re-alignment of the caliper/discs sorted it. Thanks all 🙂

Yunki did you have to stand up to ensure it came out in one piece?

My wife sent me a photo of a turd she did last week that blocked our downstairs loo, what a darling (her, not the turd. Although it was very impressive)

Took me a while to convince my wife who had been driving for 12 years that dual carriageways are 70, seems quite a common misconception

I find looking where you want to end up the best bit of advice for tight switchbacks up or down (and any corner really). Don’t notice a huge amount of difference between my 29er HT or my 26er 160mm FS really.

Absolutely no chance, especially with the dog. The boot will barely be big enough for the dog in those choices. Even a big 7 seater like a Galaxy you’d struggle. Two smaller cars is a better option, or hire a LWB Transporter or similar.

41 this year. Dug out my old Rudy Johnson 40oz board last year complete with Thunder trucks and cockroach wheels. That was the last board I bought in my late teens. Before that had numerous Rob Roskopps, and lost count of how many SMA Natas’s I wore out.

Considering I’m about 3 stone heavier than when I last skated over 20 years ago I didn’t get on too badly. Man, skaters are spoiled these days with all the concrete parks around, there’s load round here plus we’ve got Rush Indoor Skatepark just down the road. I go down there with my skateboard and my BMX and alternate. Although mostly ride my BMX if I’m honest as its much easier and kinder on a 40 year old that’s ruined his body over the years!

Loving these! Our lurcher once ate a pile of cat poo from the garden. I was so engrossed in an Xbox game I barely noticed him come back in and puke it up right by my feet. I realised what had happened, ran out into the kitchen to get cleaning products, by the time I’d come back in he’d eaten it again.
