Set up a new google/chrome account they can both use when needed?

Absolutely agree that the current quality is nowhere near even 5 year old stuff. We have a Baily Pegasus GT70 from 2018, and were looking to PX it against a new one, looking at all the new ones we decided we are better off keeping ours, lol.

My understanding is that as long as you have the funds (equivalent to the minimum wage in France for the length of time you wish to stay), its fine. I expect reality won’t be Quite that simple, but here is hoping!

Indeed… Current plan is to apply for long stay tourist visa in France and Italy and use up the rest of the 90 days in the other countries. It might end up that we apply for a long stay visa in Spain too…

Funnily enough, my wife’s mother was Irish. Does it need to be on ‘both sides’?

I use a dremel with cut off wheel and a dust mask, outdoors if its not raining. I was cutting some carbon bars a while back and the hacksaw blade snagged one of the fibres and pulled it out of the resin, horrific 100mm streak!

Since then, always dremel with mask, zero chance of snagging.

the Clarke boxes from Machine Mart are great too, they have a few levels of quality vs cost (the gauge of the steel used and the quality and type of runner).

Pirelli Cinturato Gravel H, I’m running them at the moment for mixed surface riding. Feel faster than they have any right to be!

I run mine as road currently, but I did run it as ‘gravel’ before I got the dedicated gravel bike. Worth checking as mine is the Ti frame, and might be slightly different, but its fine with 700c up to 50mm tyres and it was brilliant for mixed surface rides.

I have a couple of the LED Lenser products (sold through Screwfix), find the lumens you want as they have a load of options. Quality is good, mine get used in all weathers most of the year round.

Rotary basically gives you a 360 degree line, which for some jobs is invaluable. I have the basic Stanley one, which only gives you a horizontal and/or vertical line in an arc in front of it, so it needs to be moved if you need more coverage. For most things its fine, for setting out an extension the 360 one would be more useful.

They might feel a little spongy, and you might have to adjust them a little more often, but they will work fine. I fitted some Hy/Rd’s on my wifes Synapse with ordinary Shimano outers.

I have a Slate with a 650b wheelset, I’d say tyres make Far more difference than wheel size. Something like a Panaracer Gravelking or the Pirelli Cinturato Gravel H is still quick. Its not ‘Road Bike’ quick, but I don’t feel that 700c or 650b is going to change that appreciably.

I run an S21 for personal use, and an A53 for work, in 99.8% of use cases they may as well be identical. the ‘Edge’ shape of the screen is obviously missing from the A53, but a lot of the time its not really noticeable. Only time you could tell the difference is in gaming, which I don’t do on a mobile anyway, lol.

I’m about 25 miles South, no problem at all if you don’t get a better (closer) offer.

NW works fine with a half link, the ‘gap’ in the chain is bigger than the ‘wide’ part of the ring. I run a hope narrow/wide with a half link chain as its what I had spare.

I have a new Trafic Sport, its a great utility vehicle, no question. The Gearbox lacks finesse would be my only gripe.

I built this one from scratch after buying one (that cost a chunk more than this did…) that ended up being very very poor quality and got sent back. (I set the roof out in CAD, only because I could easily, lol). I work in construction (driving a desk these days mind) and qualified as a joiner back in the day, so had some idea going into it.

I just knocked up a wooden frame that keeps it upright and does a fair job of stopping front to back movement. Rest is dealt with by a bungie around the stem.

Generally a shirt and trousers with some smartish shoes. Varies a little office to office, but you won’t go far wrong with that.

I have a spare lefty lower on my desk in the study at home, if you still need this in about 3 hours I’ll attack it with the Vernier callipers.

Woodbury is a nice place to kill a few hours too, the Yettington side has a couple of decent lines.

We have stayed at the Prince of Wales a couple of miles East of Merthyr a few times. Cheap and cheerful BnB attached to a pub. The landlord is really pleasant, the landlady resents all humans sharing her air as far as I could tell.

Ibis Ripmo v2 with a fairly custom build, received 4 days ago so still not even fully dialled in. Stunning though, DW link is magic.

A few hours of faster/firmer trails on Sunday, including running one section about 15 times (pictured braking bumps into a tight corner, certainly got the fork thinking) I’m hooked. Suspension tweaks and tyre pressures a Lot closer now, starting to feel amazing. (The high speed compression knob on the fork was really stiff, and turns out set quite a chunk too high). Tyres really hook up too, first time I’ve used Kenda for about 20 years, they are back in the game.

Yep, just bought a bike from them, they were superb to deal with to be honest.

Well, first ride is out of the way, just some local stuff in the woods for a first shakedown. Few tweaks from Ibis recommended settings already, still more tweaking to go but Properly impressed already by the DW link. @dumbbot, Tyres also seem great though I wasn’t pushing it too hard yet. Certainly no lack of bite from the Hellkat on the front in leafy/loamy stuff thats quite ‘drifty’ anyway.
