If you are looking at rc batteries on hobby king, most of them will be lipo so 2s are 7.4v so is closest to the 8v li-ion batteries that come with the hk lights.

C rating is to do with the draw they cam handle is higher the c rating the more amps they can handle efficiently iirc

You can get a 5000mah 2s lipo for just over a tenner. Only downside is you will need a decent balance charger that would set you back £30+

So not sure it would be worth it by the time you have to buy the charger change the connectors find a safe way of mounting it…etc

Until recently i worked for a large car insurance company…
If you report it your insurer can trace the insurer from the reg (assuming there is one) if the person didn’t stop chances are they don’t really want to report it so chances are will take a long process to get them to accept liability which if they do you won’t lose your no claims but you will still have a claim on your record that some insurers will use as a reason to increase your premium.

I’ve got one and a new light on order so will tell you in a few days if it will work.

I didn’t think I wanted them, I was 20 when my first was born, sh*t myself and genuinely didn’t think I could do it as I never liked anyone elses kids (still don’t really like other peoples kids) but I wouldn’t change a thing sure I missed out on a lot of nights out with the lads etc but i don’t regret it for one second.

Just don’t think blokes are programmed like women, the instincts don’t really kick in until you hold them and realise you will do anything for them.

just ordered one of the 1200 lumen kits, should be a bit of an improvement over my current 150 lumens!

My new build started off aiming for around £1200… Then I decided I needed to use new forks not my old scabby ones and needed more shiny shinys don’t even want to add up my ‘shopping list’ anymore..

giro feature for £30, yes please!

I had one, was from Argos when I was 13 doing a paper round.
Had a little switch which fitted on the brake cable near the caliper (v-brake) and then a switch with indicators.
Main problem is a bike has 2 brakes and this only works with one of them… Not sure it made any difference with drivers but I thought I was cool!

They’ve said they worked flawlessly so why not?
or do you get bonus points in enduro races for brand names?

I sold my car and bought new wheels for my new hardtail build last month… I had to put an extra £70 in to afford the wheels!

C and be seen have 4×18650 packs for less than £20.
There stuff seems to be the best of the Chinese stuff from a UK seller so considering them for a slightly Higher price than eBay stuff for my first ‘proper’ lights

Was thinking would probably be a bit much to run 11.1v 3s as most only come with 8.4v batts

seems like a good idea as been meaning to get some and a charger for my rc stuff anyway, would much rather a proper balance charger.

60k is a lot of money…
I earn less than a third of that and still survive paying for 2 kids and the missus doesn’t work.

just because you earn 60k doesn’t mean you have to get a massive house and mortgage but people choose to do so then moan they don’t have enough money because 60% of it goes on the mortgage, i live on less than the 40% they would have left in total including my rent so have no sympathy

just heli taped the crap out of my frame to try and keep it shiny as long as possible

Looks awesome built up, mine is looking awesome even if it has only got a rear wheel and mech attached to it so far.

Winch, which hope headset cups did you need to fit the slants? They will probably be what’s going on mine as well.

coincidentally rode to work for the first time in 5 weeks had no idea it was cycle to work day, saw a few more Lycra wearers than normal come to think of it.

I’ve got a 16″ orange frame on order.
started picking up bits for the build zee mech and shifter, Flow and hope wheels.

Xfusion slant is top of my fork choices at the moment. Not going to be fully built for a few months though…
