been with my other half for 6 years, met her mother twice (who she she’s probably 3/4 times a week) never met her dad

When you met her mum did she make you wear a bag on your head? or say you were her gay friend?

My missus hasn’t seen her mum since she was kicked out when she was 15 so I don’t have to see her, just her dad that is ok apart from the usual daily mail-esque viewpoints every now and again….

There’s a few on eBay, tempted to get one for my little boy. Not sure the retro/sentimental value will mean anything to a 2 yr old…

FIL was here from January until October. MIL arrived early November and will probably be here until the summer at least

At least you can use Christmas as an excuse for alcoholism this time of year.

Damn these people reproducing AND then actually enjoying spending time together at Christmas?! The cheek…

Seriously though go out at 9 when the kids are gone or go to a strip club if you don’t want kids around?

When I was younger I asked for a bike for Christmas, parents made me open all my presents under the tree (obviously no bike) then asked me to go into the dining room to get something and my bike was in the corner :D (I almost didn’t notice it until I was leaving the room and caught s glimpse)

Spending the weekend with the in law(luckily she only speaks with one of them) 130 mile drive after work friday :(

And I have to pay £6 to get back into wales afterwards… Might sneak the bike in the back with the kids so can get out for a cheeky ride one day.

Sone pruning shouldn’t cause any issues, as above don’t get too attached, gutting when some kids use all of your massive table top to build some (terrible) 2ft doubles rather than do their own digging.. .

Was when I was mountain boarding rather than biking but feelings are the same !

I have no one to ride with ( would just slow them down if I did) but I enjoy the time alone and quiet.

Going into a shop and buying a bike for £1000 with an RRP of £900 is your choice, But if you purchase said bike using £900 C2W voucher and end up paying £1000 due to finance charges that is a whole different matter.

surely if you are entering a finance agreement without knowing the rates of interest etc then that is mis selling?

My experience is to spend about 50% more than you think you need to – as a minimum.

The best bib shorts I have are the most expensive, always have been as I’ve upgraded to better ones over the years.

The best ones fit better, work better and last longer.

So no brands or recommendation then? just expensive is better ?
Might as well ride in an armani suit if that is true ;)

Did consider giving into the weather but not had chance of a decent ride in a while so went and did a short ride on the new trail at afan. Was very wet and windy and my shoes have about 6litres of water in them but glad I went.

Today at afan, windy and wet but surprisingly didn’t feel cold even though I forgot my gloves.

Just come home, torrential rain and really windy ( I believe this is classified as a tropical storm in the valleys?)
Just did the blue as didn’t fancy being out much longer when at ‘the top’, nothing to do with being unfit at all…

Think afan is the one to go for as they are new trails I haven’t ridden.

Seem to have misplaced one of my gloves so might have a bit of a cold left hand in the wind!

Barons – great winter tyres for all but the muddiest conditions

Xking – decent rolling with acceptable grip in the dry/slightly damp

Race king – stupidly fast rolling, slide in the wet but at least it’s a predictable slide and let’s be honest they are not for this purpose.

All of the above have been their <£15 wire ones…

Going to splash out on some BC ones for tubless set up next.

I was told all December payments were being made by personal delivery overnight in time for 25th via chimney (where possible).

So remember to check your stocking…

Buy my mum a present, only person who I have no idea what to buy for!

The once the kids are the in bed I will have to silently build an IKEA kitchen in time for when they are up at 6/7am

    This type of kitchen….

You’ll have to declare it whether you claim or not. Even IF you don’t lose your NCD, the price will increase at renewal time.
IMHO your better off claiming what you can because you’re going to end up out of pocket anyway

Or just remember it wasn’t broken into a stone just bounced up and smashed the window ;)

Then windscreen claim will cover window less xs no ncd loss or effect to future premium (usually).

Doesn’t help with the items though
