I like the idea of N+1 but can’t afford it… currently have a cheapish XC hartail used for all my riding (including commuting) so is always a compromise bike. Currently building a Dialled apline into a proper hardcore/trail HT. Then the other bike can be set up a lot better for commuting… buuuuuuut I really want a 4x/DJ type bike for mucking about on and I have a skatepark over the road from my house.

Howling around the place here is south east Wales. Neighbour’s Meter cupboard door banging against the side of their house is doing my head in.

You should have had confirmation who it was being held with shortly after you paid the deposit. I would just remind the land lord/letting agent, if you get no joy go straight to the deposit holding company. Just be careful and don’t just roll over if they try and deduct anything.

Worked for me when they tried to keep my whole deposit because of “rent arrears and cleaning costs” just submitted my bank statements showing the rent had been paid on time every month and the agents were unable to provide any proof of the supposed cost of cleaning so I got all my money back within a few days of sending this to the desposit company.

None for me but my dad got 5 bottles! Including a 12yr old glenmorangie with 2 glasses from me.

I once took one apart and cut the wire to the speaker (hurtlocker style) so it just moved its mouth with no noise.

I’m not the only one then. Annoying thing is I have forks and frame, but no headset and cranks/pedals but no bb. So not much building I can do yet.
