Ride all the main trails in south Wales…

Really not ridden enough of them considering I live here! Want to push myself fitness wise and technically doing my first proper downhill runs to.

Get the kids to bed and just relax after a hectic Xmas period, just found out wiggles Jr number 3 is on the way so missus not drinking so I will probably refrain for brownie points for a ride in the morning.

Oh man I really want one now, haven’t even finished my alpine build yet, if I go FS this is way up my list.

Not going out tonight so might head for a quick local blast nice and early. My bike is too broken to go anywhere that needs functioning gears and brakes.

My commute speed varies between “monday-morning-bimble” and “friday-hometime-sprint”

Mine is less than 4 miles a day though so dont ten to pay much attention to speed etc

People are picky about the choc % in their laxatives?!?

    Glad the dogs OK though.

He rides a motorbike as well

Which i found out is the reason why he ‘can’t afford’ to come visit his grandkids or buy them birthday/Christmas presents. Massive new tool draws/unit full of high spec tools and new parts on the bike…

    I’m home :D
May have taken 3+ hours, massive traffic jam and a toll bridge but I was smiling all the way.

I would like to volunteer my address for people wanting their confectionery ‘safely disposed’ of rather than out it in the bin if so many people do this?!

    Chuck ’em in the bin.
1 huge box of chocs and 2 x half tins of biscuits have gone that way here. At least 3,000 calories i wont have to worry about burning off

I am building my latest bike mainly for the reason matther01 said, could buy 2k bike but will never be 100% your preferred parts so you might spend another £500 on tyres, brakes etc or just spend £2.5k from the start and have exactly what you want.

I have a spreadsheet of what I have spend on parts for my ht build and it scares me (£1.5k and counting 8O ) but no way I could of afforded to drop 1.5k in one go.

Oh just to rub it in I was bored and looked on strava and there are loads of cool looking segments in all the local woods and I didn’t bring my bike

    Lucky you! :P

I’m currently cooking for everyone (the food I had to drive to the shops to buy myself) as otherwise we would all be starving as apparently a price of cheese and 2 microwave meals is sufficient stock in a house.

I realise nobody gives a s*** but I need to rant in this thread or I will punch someone.

Yesterday the house was boiling hot I couldn’t sleep… Now it is so cold my feet are numb. He has said “I hope you don’t have those stupid lights on your bike like most idiot cyclists”

And I’m chauffeuring everyone around so can’t even drink.

I can fit my bike easily inside my berlingo with all the wheels on.
The height of the boot allows this, also means a lot of other things fit without having to fold the back seats.

Just clarifying this from someone who has one… Not saying it’s the best car ever but it’s height and practicality are certainly a great feature.

No he isn’t that bad just certain things really wind me up. Lives on his own all kids grown up and moved out. Yet he never drives down to see his daughter, I have to drive all of us down to him because he apparently can’t afford it. He earns more than me and I support 2 children and a missus on just my income.

Got a 60 plate berlingo recently and loving it, bike fits in the back, loads of room for the kids etc

Buuut for me my insurance was about double for the Mondeo so the cost difference was significant enough to make the decision for me to go berlingo rather than Mondeo or similar estate

Based on actual science rather than emotion, dogs aren’t even in the top 10 for intelligence. So if you are basing on that I hope you don’t eat pigs and I’m sure you treat rats with the same respect as a human being as they are considered smarter then dogs.

Dogs live ~10-12 years, people might have 5+ dogs in their life, they die you get over it eventually. That’s quite different if it is your father or son…

Not to mention if someone else is killed in the process. How would you feel if you And your dog got out but the person who saved you didn’t? Any normal person would never really get over that.

Oh and he hasn’t even got the kids anything… I don’t expect people to spend loads if they don’t have much money, but not even a card, £1 toy or selection box or something.

Happily excepted the present the missus bought him though.

My FIL lives on his own and can’t cook what so ever, we have driven for 2 and a half hours with 2 small Children to be presented with a semi defrosted big lump of Turkey to cook (expecting me or the missus to do it) for tea after 6pm

Already been to the shops and for a walk to get away… Had to leave when a conversation started about the frequency of bin collection.

Mop up them puddles an’ all, so they should

No… They should just get the volunteers lie accross the puddles so you can ride over their backs until sufficient time has passed for drying.

Hate some of the user interface and can be very slow at times.
Such as pressing OK on a programme in the guide because you want to watch it… Then it asks you if you are sure?? I’m only changing the flipping channel!

Also tends to not record half the stuff I ask it to.

Depends on the situation but wouldn’t risk leaving my kids without a dad over a dog.
