You’re wrong. Just go and get a massive tattoo portrait of her face on your back.

So you see men with beards and admire them and then immediately think about them having sex?

    I’m no psychologist but…

hmmm… will have to try harder and see what happens.

Hopefully they are working ok by the time I get to afan on saturday, although I did go there once the morning after coming home drunk and decided it was a good idea to bleed my brakes, spent the whole day with lots of squealing (me and the brakes) and not very much stopping.

Just seen a fully naked no make up selfie (from an angle where nothing much was revealed)…

It was deleted by facebook within a few minutes but I think we should ride out this craze and see where it goes…

    It’s a revolutionary new saddle

Or just a carbon fork designed specifically for the Australian market

    +1 berlingo.

I feel like I am in a monster truck next to most cars at the lights.

If you care about what your car looks like then it’s probably not for you though

No spray been used on any part of the bike so not contaminated pads, they do work just no where near as well as I was expecting. Will give them another try when I get a chance to go down some proper hills then will have to get the LBS to have a look as a trust them to bleed them properly Hopefully I don’t have to send them back as they are just duff ones….

PS I do weigh 16st so I’m not the easiest person to stop…

“We want to encourage people to cycle but the mood is overwhelmingly in one direction in this case.”

So you asked all the people on the street and they don’t like the idea and from that conclude everyone is against it? how many cyclists did they ask?

Ask 100 residents and 90 are against it you cannot claim 90% of people are against it if 150 cyclists will use the road on a daily basis and are for it.

Got the CM and smorg combo on my bike recently both in dual compound flavour. Anyone else find the smorg a bit squirmy on the rear? Not sure if it was just a case of low pressure or just the softer side knobs but In the turns it felt like I could feel the tyre rolling laterally across the rim. More air added for next test, loving the CM on the front though.

Merlin are great, even phoned me when the top cap I ordered was not in stock with the colour I wanted so did I just want a black one so they could send it out that day(was quite a big order)

Obviously they don’t sell everything but superstar are stupidly quick, ordered some nanos on a Friday at 2pm and turned up Saturday morning.

What’s the opposite of shredding the gnar?

My cousin had one, spent all his money/time fixing it then rolled it down a 20ft bank into a pet shop…

Seems good so far not really gone down anything too challenging to really find out. The 160mm travel and the frame seem to really smooth the trail out a lot though(coming from a 120mm ALU ht). Brakes still need bedding in but the rest of the zee stuff seems great. Saint cranks don’t bend when I stand on them like the octolink thingies on my other bike…

You know it’s been sunny out?

I know I had been out and enjoyed it for a few hours and was home by 9!

Rear tyre (On1 smorgasbord) feels a bit squirmy in the turns, will try higher pressure but might just be me not using dual compound before.

Will give it a proper test at afan/cwmcarn/FoD next weekend (yet to be decided)

No tyres, just get super wide rims and you can save 1000g each end (no valves or tubes to bother with)

Will keep an eye out as I’m local.
Sorry to hear that, had both of my last two bikes stolen and know what it is like.

Are you going to campaign for compulsory waxing?

PS, I would feel sorry for you but that clearly was filed in some mystical land of dusty trails so I don’t

Had my boy out again on his balance bike today, had a few offs going to fast and not figured out the brake yet!

Nearly ready for pedals I think, hopefully will pick it up as easily as your little one.

I have the wonderful time of being a private sector employee in a public sector job. I get the same salary as the people on the bottom of their pay scale But none of the public sector benefits, no sick pay, pension (my employer pays £1.50,in a week) less holiday etc all for doing the exact same job!

Already said it but seriously look up stronglifts 5×5 for good beginner routine.

Look up stronglifts 5×5 45m to an hour 3 times a week, great place to start.

It is important, I won’t be able to sleep until you admit you’re wrong 😉

Wasn’t someome asking about brakes for his missus or something a while ago? I forget

I get what you are saying but on a weaker brake the first 1/4 of the leaver stroke might be so rubbish it doesn’t really make any difference there for all of the useful braking is in the last 3/4 of the stroke.

Whereas the powerful brake will be useful throughout the whole range m as a 1/4 is equivalent to a half pull on the weaker brake. So you have more braking power spread over 25% more useful lever movement.

I always get a hello from MTB riders, stopping to help me when having s mechanical etc.

Never once on the road have I been offered help (baggy wearing slick MTB rider mind) the people who nod back are usually commuters in civvies rather than Lycra clad racing snakes

Then a few things are talking out of their bottom!
If you’ve got more power being applied by a given input then modulation will decrease.

Not as simple as that though is it. Because something has more ultimate power doesn’t mean it is more per mm of leaver pull etc.

The more powerful brake might use the power more spread out through the lever pull even if it does reach a higher “top end”

Glad things are going OK you seem to be dealing with everything in a very sensible manner, I’m sure you’ll be the one coming out the other side smelling of roses if you carry on the way you are 🙂

A lot of people are a lot more forgiving than me… About not burning bridges etc, I would stay in touch for arranging time with the kids but that would be as far as any conversations would go.

Guy in lbs told me it was really cut up and muddy on the weekend but have had a couple of sunny dry days in a row (I only live 15mins away)
