Just mentioned it as I love my zees, more powerful than pretty much anything else but sub £200 so good price compared to the XTR or Saints.

New nomad is 1x specific, there are bikes designed around not having a front mech. Saves weight, less to go wrong and less clutter on the bars.

Leisure lakes branded santini bibs are £42. Without the LL logos the same shorts are £80

Heard from some guys at the EWS in Chile that it is brilliant on the downhills but they would rather be on the Bronson for anything with pedaling.

One of these (exactly the same as mine)

Fold the back seats and bikes fit in with both wheels easily.

Why does she assume all the rich people who pay for climbs are white?

£30 lidl jobs work fine just harder to get the bike in and out.

PCS10 is much easier to use so use that as have free access at work but just bought the £30 one for the occasional use at home, cleaning etc

The ride up is pretty boring but you can just do half way down then back up etc. If I can do it twice as a fat bastard on the hottest day of the year, then anyone can.

You might be able to grab an uplift or two in the morning or end of the day when it is quieter.

Superstar do a seatube mounted one, but wouldn’t work with a front mech

If you can stretch to the pcs10 the clamp is much easier to use.

Speak to the shop, we try our best but sometimes online prices are lower than trade prices so they cannot be matched.

Alpkit gourdon is the best I have used for commuting. No faffing with rain covers and no zips to jam or break.
