They said when one emergency beacon ran out the next one was set off, indicating they are in a position to do so. IE in a raft. Hope they turn up safe sonewhere

No pic, but changed one for a customer that was down to just a few lumps of foam on rails. His dog had eaten the rest…

The sound of a pack of rabid dogs chasing you (with a bit of imagination) could work.

Hope everything works out ok for your, at least they are both getting seen and getting tests done, which can be easier said than done.

Didn’t want to put to much of a downer on this with my first post, but seing as others have joined in the venting… might as well get it off my chest.

Found out recently that the baby my OH is currently pregnant with has not been developing correctly (brain mostly) and is not going to make it… got two other healthy kids so trying to stay strong for them but is not an easy time.

Just Focus on the positives and enjoy as much of the time you can with your family. I know how it feels being the one who has to stay strong on the outside and hold everything together.

Doesn’t stop you falling apart on the inside, I have had a horrible year in many respects and have just had some terrible news I’m not quite sure I am ready to deal with and sometimes find myself bursting out in tears every time I am on my own.

Just stay strong for them and you will make it through.

    Troy lee, air for me.

Although be wary of ones on ebay, bought one pair and they seems pretty shoddy quality and came in no packaging etc.

Then bought some from a shop and they are 100000x better and quite different in terms of material and quality so seems there are knock offs about.

I get the same thing on more technical/twisty stuff where my weight is shifting side to side and often mostly on one foot. Going to try some stiff soles flat shoes first, 5 10 impacts or similar.

My slants needed a bit of a push to move the first time on a ride for a few weeks. A rocky trail or two later and it has gone and no stickyness at all.

had slants a few months and are great forks for the money.

    So in summary…

Bike shop tries to make money out of customer = this causes offence and high levels of anger.

I start to get wary around 40mph because nobly tyres make a hell of a noise at that speed and brake dive is a bit mental, so I lock my fork out for the big hills on the way home from work.

Got a smorgasbord and hated it… CM is decent. Purgatorys can be had for £20 much better on the rear than a smorg IMO.

Custom builds take a lot of time, we probably spend 2hrs+ working out the build details with the customer then having to order all the parts then spending half a day building it up (thus meaning other jobs are delayed/turned down). Then consider the parts will not be as cheap as CRC etc. But IMO the main thing is if a shop builds it for you then you can take it back with any issues with set up etc that you won’t get buying parts doing it yourself.
